STL meets
hey guys, the weather is getting NICE and im seeing all these other regions get there rx8s to meet so lets see if we can get something goin here. post some dates or places you have in mind. And my idea is lets get as many cars there as possible, not just necessarially rx8 or rx7. Im normally up at columbia for school (mizzou) if we got enough people interested we could maybe do a meet in Columbia and invite some Kansas City people too. but lets figure out a place and some possible dates.
Does anyone know of a rotary Shop in STL or anything? it would kinda be cool to have the meet there.

Since I'm over here in Joplin, the best town I know of to meet is Springfield. I've only been there once, though. Just tossing suggestions. If I can find time to drive on over I will. I get lost real easy, though

as i said im down for where ever. Forrest Park would be a large enough place and could provide some nice pic opps if we get someone who is skilled in photography. i sent out a whole bunch of messages to everyone i could find so if you know anyone pass on the word and lets see what we can get goin. im also tryin to find a rotary shop that may want to join in or possibly host an event at there shop.

forest park is in STL its prolly a little more than an hour from Columbia, but not sure how far it is from Joplin. but the place is HUGE and would be a great place for a meet, now we just have to get some more people...

good as i said im just trying to get a bunch of cars out there. i dont really care if they are rotary or not, my plan is just to go out there and have a good time and talk cars. I've got one of my buddies with a 3500 coming out...its the only car we could fit a BBQ pit and stuff in. ha ha, but im trying to get some other guys out there as well. Now for dates, ill be back in STL the next two weekends, but i dont know if either of them would work, as the weekend of the 20th i turn 21, so needless to say driving a car will prolly not be smart. but what works best for everyone else.

I could make that if I don't go to CA for work. I don't really know to many car guys in the area anymore and Speed and Sound in Arnold is the only shop I know of that has any good experience with rotaries. Mark and Chad really know thier way around a rotary engine.

I'm open for any weekend. The park is about 4 hours and 30 minutes away from me. *gosh LOL* So I'd be leaving early in the morning. I may be able to get the GF to go, depends on schedules. So the sooner we decide on a day, the better!

dang cyber i didnt realize Joplin was that far away. If there is a place thats more in the middle i would be willing to drive there. i would say the dates that would work best for me is any weekend after the 28th. so maybe early july? seems like a little ways off but im packed the next couple of weekends. so whatever works best for you guys.

ok cyber since you would be making the trip i guess, what works best for you? If you dont mind me asking how old are you? if your around our age we could hit up a club or something on a saturday night after the meet and make the visit a little more worth while instead of driving all that way for a 3 or 4 hour BBQ and to talk cars

Haha, yeah, 24. I'm good to go hopping! Early July works for me. Towards the middle of July, *the 16th to be exact* I'm going up north to NE for some family fun, so anything before that is grand.
