hey all...i'm back and just checkin in on the RA schedule so far. see they posted the April 12th/13th dates. who's all in on it so far?
I'm still plannin on comin even tho i don't have the 8 any longer sure wish i did. However, i promised Ike that i'd show my 97 cobra's fat @$$ 3600lbs for the event.
gotta say, i still miss the personality of this forum quite a bit. Even being a heavy poster over at SVTperformance, it lacks a certain element. i think it's the whole "fun" part
Keep in touch about the event, guys!

I'll snap his neck.
I was looking at the autobahn schedule, and I noticed that Mazda has the North track reserved June 21st - 22nd. Anybody know if that is for the open track day like some of you ran at last year?

Gingerman is having an open track day April 5th for 150 bucks. Sounds like three run groups, no instructors.

My hope is to get to at least one of the spring test and tunes at Gingerman on a thursday evening. Would probably be more inclined to do that there than another track day, as from what others have said you get a lot of track time for cheap at their T&T. And I guess they usually aren't very crowded.
I also really want to do autobahn at least a couple times, as I live only about 45 minutes away. Alex - you and the family can always crash here for autobahn stuff. We've got a spare bedroom. We've had plenty of friends with babies crash here, so you don't have to worry about disturbing us. Actually, the way our house is laid out, you will sort of have your own private "wing" with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Plus you have the washer and dryer in your "wing" as well. Oh, did I mention I have a big screen HD TV that is great for sports, movies, and xbox 360?

With just over 2 months until our first 2008 track day at Putnam Park (near Indy), we are well over 1/2 full. If you'd like to join us for Putnam Park or any other MVP track day in 2008, visit www.MVPTrackTime.com.
Happy Motoring and I hope to see you at the track!

Devildog, Madison Club is running Blackhawk on the Saturday before Memorial Day (or may be it is the one before that, don't remember). Unfortunately, I'll be in Vancouver that week and can't make it. I was looking forward to it too.

What do you mean? is it about the weather? The last few times I ran with them I didn't sign up untill a few days before, to ensure good weather. They never fill up the slots.

Is anyone interested in RA for April? I'm booking a room soon, so far 5 people total. I'm the only driver thus far. I also added some updates to the OP.

My cousin from NY, and two friends, wife and baby. I won't be signing up until a few days prior to ensure good weather. Thye never fill up to the max, I did the same the last few times. Hey do you think I should get my rotors turned (not sure if thats what they call it)? I also need new rear pads, I used bobcats all year round last year. Just swapped the fronts for track days. Do you know of any better rears for both track and street use? I also see the access port is ready

I might be in. Depends on wife's schedule since I have two kids now. If she wanted to drive at all (ie one session) do you think I'd have to register her as well?
I'm quite eager to hit the 8 meets and track days but every time something is booked I've got: family in, prior commitments, etc, etc. As is the case with WhirlyBall.

Teh XP-8's are to noisy for daily use. I guess I'll stick with the bobcats, I have about 1/4" left on them so they should be good for 1 or two more track days. So what do you think about re-surfacing my rotors?
