Who has my car...? *Stolen RX-7*
#28
It's generally a bad idea to leave out details like "I didn't get the title to the car when I purchased it" when you're claiming someone 'stole' something from you. If you don't possess a title with your name on it, it is not owned by you. No matter how much money exchanged hands, you do not own the car. If you really want to get down to it, you could've been arrested and charged with posession/transfer of stolen goods/grand theft for having his car when he possesses the title.

ok so that's the story. Well since you dont legally own the car, why dont you get your old car back from that straight up trade. Owner two did a straight up trade cause he probably knew he wasnt the legal owner of the car he was getting rid of.

Damn, tough crowd. **** happens, people make mistakes by trusting other people, it happens. I'm sure none of you have done that yet.
@RK - I have the title. It's in my safe box. I was told Owner 1 was on vacation, call him when he gets back next *at the time* week and get it signed over. Apparently they were good buddies and everything. Hell, I've seen them hanging out, so I didn't think this was some bullshit going down. Next thing I know, car is out of the carport, and Owner 2 talked about already sending the original car I owned on it's way.
@Alphapenguin - Yes, the way this is panning out is making me thing this was just a way to get another car to sell off and use it for some extra money.
Also, where in the world do I say I don't have the title...? I may not have said I had it in my possession, but I thought me talking about it directly passing between hands of Owner 1 and Owner 2 then me getting the car was enough. I'm sorry I wasn't crystal clear on that.
Now, let's please stop with the 'retarded story' etc....as I already kick myself enough for blowing this **** out, I don't need any E-help...

People are scum - especially where things of value are concerned.
I am constantly amazed at how even the seemingly most trustworthy people will try to scam a dollar here and a dollar there without regard to how it will affect the scammed.

I also plan to buy the next RX-7 from someone OUT of state....don't want this happening again

trading cars is never really a good idea anyways... i mean they're not baseball cards.
but since the title was never signed over it's not technically your car, it's still owner one's car.
sounds like you might have got scammed???

Yeah, I'm about to scratch this one up to the whole "Live and Learn" category. Good thing it's just a shitty car and nothing decent!
