Thanks for the infor Sly. So what exactly happens at Road America? You track your car or just drive around?
Guest pass for myself or my passenger? If so both need helmets correct?
Thanks!

You actually track your car. Get 20+ minutes on the track at a time and it rotates thru 4 groups. You get at least 80 minutes of track time for the day. I preregistered for 2 run groups so I got it for a good price. The guest fee is for anyone that wants to come and watch or ride along.
If you are interested in driving on Road America goto http://roadamerica.fbody.us/
Its $255 for one run group or $455 for 2 run groups, or 1 run group sat and 1 run group sun. It runs sat and sun but I'm only there for sun.
For maps of the track goto http://www.roadamerica.com/FanInformation/Maps.asp
Midwest Fbody Assoc. has instructors there that ride along with you for anyone that hasn't driven the track before and for novice drivers. The instructors also let you ride with them on the track in their cars! Of course people that paid to drive the track get first pick but I've seen guests ride with the instructors if no one else wants to go.

Hey sly, thanks for the awesome info. I have never tracked my car before, and my tracking is limited to carting which I did long time ago. So I would need to get a helmet, probably a different set of tires to do this. But I am looking forward to doing some track days...

Yup, ZoomZoom, you kind of missed it. In fact, since we learned this was the last Hardees Tuesday for this year, you missed Big!
Merk and I made it and had a great time. Here are a couple pics taken by Dave Knurr, the resident photographer for these shows. See the rest of the cars and other shows at his site.

It was a fun night, not a whole lot of cars, but the ones that were there were quite nice! It was great to talk to John about RX-8s, and see his tastefully modded ride. I look forward to next spring so we can do it again!

It was good to meet your glassetcher. I love your rims! It was a shame that I only got 1 of the 8 sessions in on the track before fuel system problems.
We did manage to get it working long enough to get back out on the track for another 3 laps in the afternoon but that was all she mustered. Cracked out 128 mph on the front straight into turn 1 and almost 126 into turn 5 and upto 122 into turn 12. Not bad for a cool day at 50 degrees and cold tires.

Nice to meet you too, mrslysly. I was sorry to see you had that problem. Was it actually the fuel filter? I did see you were out of your space late in the afternoon and I hoped you got back on the track. I bummed a ride from the guy with the blue RX-8, BlueRenesis82, and really had my eyes opened. I never dreamed our RX-8s could handle the track like that!

It is really amazing what the Rx8 can do stock on the track. A friend with a tweaked STI and another guy with a heavily modded evo both love how the 8 handles, on street tires! They both run race rubber and said my car cornered better than theirs.
So in capable hands, its a really fast ride.

Another RX8 in Milwaukee
Living in Milwaukee with my 04 Winning Blue RX8, all stock. Not a racer, but maybe next year I might take her to a track and let her loose, and least there it will be legal!

Anyone up for a fall drive
New to this RX8club thing. Anyone interested in a fall drive and a run to the Sonic Drive In in Milwaukee? After maybe a run through the Kettle Moraine... or somewhere else for color and curves?
First and only Sonic in WI for now... Just south of Miller Park.
Speak up fast if you are interested, want to do thing before the leaves and snow fall.
