I can't help you, I need it myself as I scraped the passenger side one on the wife's car against a curb.

All y'all having issues with the back end breaking loose need to rein in your lead foot!

I'll be at Fuel as usual, probably in the Miata as normal. We are having some of the kids from out of town, none of them are car folks but who knows who might have an interest?

Well fml. My car is now kicking out of 4th again, less than a month after Jake Sweeney fixed it. Can I just tell them to slap a new tranny in?

And I've never had the traction control kick in yet on my all-seasons. So I have hope come winter time.

My TC issues are self induced admittedly. I have to try to get it to come on, even with shitty tires. It's just fun to try.

Atredeus,

Check with Kings if Sweeney doesn't respond. I haven't heard much good about The Jake. At the very minimum, request a new transmission and if they balk, get in touch with Mazda corporate. I'll try to get the name of the local Mazda factory rep since one of my friends had to deal with him.

What tires are you running for all seasons? The Bridgestone RE960's don't warm up fast, so in the rain on a cold day, the compound doesn't give much traction.

No, I just turn it off if I'm driving hard enough to know it'll kick in. :D

This is painful. Go about 38 seconds in to start.

Ouch...that just ruined my night. Lost it on the slalom, sadly I've had somewhat similar issues of sucking on the slalom, but never that bad.

Wow, that sucks. About a year ago I saw a guy lose it in a slalom at Kilkare in a highly modified WRX and eat the wall. True, autoX is much safer than other forms of racing, but there is no guarantee that you won't hurt your car (or yourself). It is still racing after all. So the lesson here is to be careful out there kiddies, know yourself and know your car and take it easy if you have to.

On another note, fuztupnz stopped by my work last Saturday. Your 8 sounds great (is that too cliche? lol) Oh yes, My clutch pedal also started squeaking. What do you guys recommend to lubricate it? I was reading that they are prone for problems.
As for your "speed" shops, there are two in Columbus that deal with rotaries a lot if your looking into F/I. ZN Performance (www.znperformance.com) and Defined Autoworks (www.definedautoworks.com). Both have had a lot of experience rebuilding and dealing with F/I for rotary motors. Not sure what Cincy has to offer for rotary specific experience, but TD Performance isn't too bad for general stuff.

For your clutch pedal you are going to want to get one of the bracing kits (look up a few posts to see what that's about), or a complete new one if yours has started to break up. I have the RaceRoots bracing on the wife's car.

Happy Thanksgiving folks. At least I'm home this year!

Guess what I got on Black Friday? Yep, that's right, CEL p0171. Shall we take bets on what is the cause....

(1) fuel pump, (2) vacuum leak, (3) MAF dirty/malf (4) O2 sensor or (5) engine go boom

Can't take it in until Monday afternoon but Kings said I should be okay to drive it until then. I know it's probably no big deal but seriously, I wish a deer would jump out in front of me and put me out of my misery at this point. It had thrown this plus one other at DGRR but as soon as I came down in elevation it seemed to go away and haven't had any issues since so I suspect O2 sensor....how important is that to get fixed and guess on prices? I am sure that won't be covered by my warranty
See some of you at Fuel tomorrow?

BB, you'll love the shifter if you get it. Does take a little getting used to, especially for reverse. I also installed the RR shift plate at the same time, the first time she drove it the wife came home demanding I put it back to stock (she changed her mind). I would like to get the MS front bumper and that rear spoiler but between the recent furnace purchase and the wife liking the stock rear spoiler it wouldn't happen in any event.

Well I'll pick the carcass and take your new tires.

You have more problems than most people. As for the deer, I saw a car that looked like a deer went over the hood and into the windshield last Saturday on the way to Fuel; Major damage and probably several thousands of dollars in bodywork. A lot of the roof was caved in too.

Wait till you experience what the strut bar's master cylinder brace does for your braking feel. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to add one to the tower brace on my Miata, it makes that much of a difference.

The MS strut bar will make that much of a difference over the stock one? That is the first I have heard of that.

I didn't see them but I was in and out early and quickly - a nice Porsche guy did a reset on my CEL, and saw a few others but I didn't notice a sweet WRX. Sorry I missed them. No carcass picking yet guys, lol.

I'm talking about the master cylinder brace. The stock one doesn't have it.

Good pickup Bourbon

kytten: you have some shitty luck with that car.

Sorry i missed you guys down at fuel. We had a training session with the dog to get his e-collar set up. I hat leashing him now that we have all this land, but i need to be able to reign him back in somehow. It took all of about 20 minutes of training for him to get the point. He's done great all day since. He's much happier with almost free reign of the yard now.

Kevin, your dog will get the point. A guy I used to work with had a lab that refused to respond to the collar. Eventually, they cranked the power level up so much that once it hit the wire it caused the dog to do back flips. Message learned.

Fuel was pretty busy today. I got down there about 10 and saw Mike. My friend Bob with his RX-7 was there as well. A really sweet Alpha Romero was there along with a few other rides. I still want to do a lap in a 911 GT3 RS at some point. The grey/orange one was down there today.

My buddies that were up there were taking a few pics.
Sad that I looked at the 8 in that picture rather than the e30 m3 lol
