Spoke with new owners of Fuel for about 20 min this morning, really nice people. Nice turnout today to show support for re-opening. Now all we have to do is wait for the weather to get nice again... and for my 8 to crank over. Hopefully it's only the battery, Optima's with their gel cells need to be cranked about every week and I haven't done that so shame on me!

I agree. The owners seem very nice! I had a great time this morning and look foward to doing it again. Nice to finally meet you in person Fuz and sorry I missed you BB.

Heh, just saw this Moete. The wife has already made plans with some friends that we didn't get to hang with last night.

It's supposed to be colder tomorrow, but I'm game if you wait until then.

Bourbon, it was nice to meet you as well.

The new owners of fuel are cool. It's cool that some people from the local car community got together and and saved a place because it's part of the car community here. It's the last feel good story of '11.

On that note, Happy New Years all.

Woohoo, tires just ordered. 4 245/40/18 Toyo R1R's for $530 shipped. Can't beat the price for a super sticky street/track tire.

If anyone is interested, here's the link. Only 18 size available though.

Unbelievable, that's like a two for one! They look like they run a little wide, like maybe a 255. If I knew they weren't going to stretch that much I would pull the trigger. Cars flooded BTW.

too bad he only has one lot of these left...

Called Kerry Mazda, and they will not charge me for a de-flood (labor+plugs). I wonder if there is some new bulletin out on this, because I always had to pay before??? All I have to do is pay for an oil change, so not bad at all.

Hope everyone stays safe today. I was out around noon and the roads were fine. The wife took the 8 out about an hour ago and she was sliding all over the place. A friend took me to where she pulled off so I could drive her home. Accidents everywhere.

Yeah it's icy here. Ran out to get more fire wood and slid halfway across the driveway. My cat like reflexes saved me.

Did you get your springs on moete?

I know looking ahead at the weather is a crap shoot, but next weekend is looking like decent weather (for now). If you need some help let me know. Just shoot me a pm, text or call. I don't have anything going on except for maybe getting started on my car.

CX-7 AWD FTW!

Roads up north are fine. Maybe a patch of black ice here and there, but not too bad. I was tempted to take the 8 out this morning early when there was a light coat of snow just to see if I could get the TC light to not display. I chickened out and finished reading the Steve Jobs biography.

I'm not really sure why she didn't take the Speed6, except it's in the driveway and cold.

I would but my car is slammed in the garage, and my dad is too old to push! If I had electricity in the garage I would have taken the plugs out myself. I am going to pick up the car tonight, there is some warranty paperwork I need to sign (I would guess for the flooding). But I would bet this only applies to people with less than 100K. The Optima battery is great and fully charged now. Cranks like a Champ.

I remember that I shut the car off too quick last time I parked it in the garage, I wish I had a little guy on my shoulder that would kick me before I turned off the ignition. Third time this has happened. Oh well, my fault

Thanks Fuz. I will let you know. The wife and I are moving into an apt this Saturday but should only take a few hours since we really do not have that much stuff and we will have a lot of help. How long do you think it would take to get the front and rear springs on? We can maybe do it Sunday?

Anyone else brought their cars in to get the PCM reflashed? I heard a few months ago there is a new update for our cars. I think the file is called: MSP16?? Something along those lines..

Sunday will work for me Moete. Just let me know. GL with the move.

MSP16 was only for 04 and 05. Anything after late 05 already has the flash as the standard ECU firmware. You have nothing to worry about.
