FB is a good tool for HR depts to check when looking to hire people. Since I might be in the job market soon, I'd rather not have much personal info out there that can be directly traced to me. It cracks me up that people will post the stupidous stuff on FB (like getting drunk and skipping work) and then complain that no one will hire them.

One of my distant relatives posted stuff on FB (she's 15) and talked about guys she dated (slept with) and gave all the details about them (you know what I'm talking about). Now, if she's not on welfare by the time she's 18 (she just delivered her first kid) and when she tries to get a job, that'll come back to haunt her. Like they say, once it's online, it's forever.

By the way, any HR departments searching for me my name is Babba Ghanoush.

rant done

It's nice to have a fb page for us locals, but i think meets and such will be better organized here as there is a better chance that more people will see it.

For all you annoyed with seeing dumb updates - no need to unfriend people that annoy you (unless it's a whole lot). You can click the arrow to the right side of the status update and unsubscribe from updates they post. So no more spamming your news feed about political updates. And no more Facebook game spam, since you can hide individual applications, too.

Oh i figured that all out a long time ago.

I just prefer to delete people. Way to much management BS just so i can see what i want on FB. New rule for me is to just delete people that annoy me, if they even get added at all to start with.

I am on FB but under my wife's name. I don't post a lot, and only people I want to add are on it. I have a crazy/psycho ex-wife that keeps trying to add my current wife as a "friend", so yeah I am not too fond of FB. I'm like most of you stated, do it for the family and posting pics and what not to family members in Cleveland/Colombia. I would add myself to the Cincinnati RX8 club, but you'll see my wife's name and profile, I am hidden like a cloud.

Crazy/psycho - I bet she was fun to manage. I dated a couple women back in the day before they had meds for that condition. Getting calls in the middle of the night asking if I missed them. Heck, I just left their apartment a couple hours earlier!

My wife is on FB so I let her manage the family stuff. I'm on LinkedIn and even that can be a problem whenever someone puts their entire contact list out for you to add to their LinkedIn contacts. I probably reject 3 or 4 a week since either I don't know/remember/like them or they're some low level peon that I don't need on my connections. I like to have c-level execs as contacts to make me look good.

I do like the new site on FB, looks really good.

Maybe I should create an account just for that. Now I just need a screen name...

It's worse when you get a call in the middle of the night and the person on the other end of the phone is drunk out of their mind, asking you where the relationship is going, and said they just took a bunch of pills, wanting to die, and they live 6 hours away. That was a fun one.

Needless to say, no pills were involved and it was a cry for commitment. That didn't happen for good reason.

I may end up with a FB account for my photography. I'm just thinking about the form/function I want to get out of it. There's some limitations with a business account but that's fine by me.

Wow, I thought I dated some certified cases but never had to deal with any of what you guys did. My ex pulled some stunts but that was mostly so she could get her way in the divorce.

Nice looking wheels. They sell for around $300 each.

BTW, I got this cell phone holder via Amazon. Thing works pretty good with the iPhone 4. I never used the CD player in the 8 (it's a virgin) so it's not a big deal to take up the slot. I found rotating it so the tension screw is on the bottom works best and you still can see most of the controls on the Bose. Only thing is getting to the release button on the top is a little hard to find but once you get used to it, it's pretty easy. Very stable, easy to get to the port on the bottom of the phone for the charger/sync cable, and doesn't rattle loose over our potholed roads.

Too bad the aux jack is in the armrest, and it'd be completely in the way of my shift **** if this thing was mounted in my CD player...

I'm going to move mine to somewhere upfront. I thought about the ashtray/lighter area, but next to the lighter there's not a lot of room for the aux plug to fit. Maybe if I get daring and drill a hole up by the faceplate by the radio.

The other way to do it is just tap the aux wire and run it up by the glovebox and have a plug on the end of the wire. That might be easiest. I'm going to wait until it gets a little warmer before I tackle this. The downside of removing interior bits is you end up with rattles later on. That's been my experience.

Alright, who has the red 8 with the number 41 on the right rear window? I saw you coming out of Costco in Dearfield Saturday afternoon. I know it's someone on the forum.

I agree. Stock looks better.

But Chip Foose probably walked by it so it has some value to it. I doubt that he even touched it. I'm not a big fan of his anyway.

Welcome to the 20th century man. Now you'll lose muscle tone from not using a lug wrench.

Best investment I ever made. I've had mine for years now. Don't use it enough, but it's there when I need it and it's useful to blow dust off my wife's home decor crap a Swiffer can't reach. Also good for furnace filters and what not.

Foose never met a wheel he didn't want to make bigger.

Kevin, nice score on the air tools. FYI in my experience they don't work really great on suspension bolts (the high torqued ones underneath), I usually just use my big breaker bar.
