Good luck on that... I thought the same thing when I got mine installed, but she noticed first thing she walked in to the garage... I figured that she can measure thing by just a glance... I mean fender-wheel gap...

Kevin, I'm getting the Spring spring itch. How's your schedule looking early March some weekend? I'm not telling the wife I got the springs just yet. I doubt she would notice the drop. She's not good at determining measurements. I've been telling her that for 29 years.
I'm open in early march. I have to go to Lancaster on sat. the 3rd but i should be open any other day. Just let me know

Let me see if we can do this on the 10th. Morning Fuel stop and then over to your place? My garage isn't all that big and I have to do stealth spring install.

One pic from last week at Spring Grove.

Sounds like a plan Steve

I'll probably get started on my car around 2pm (once it warms up a little) this saturday. My plan is to head down to Fuel for some morning coffee, maybe get some lunch, then head up to Spradlin (koi in tri county) or anywhere else that i can get ATE Super Blue before returning home to start wrenching. Anyone that wants to hang out is more than welcome. PM me if you need my address.

BB8: We're good to go for sunday. Hopefully there will be minimum or no wrenching needed and I'll just be washing, barring, and waxing if weather permits.

/\ I'll call you for directions. probably be there around 1, gotta do something in the morning. I'll bring the 8. My RF makes a noise when it unloads at low speed when I yank the wheel back and forth, not sure what that is, but I don't think it's too bad to drive though. Could be a multitude of things I guess

so, are you guys meeting on saturday or sunday? I probably won't make it on saturday, but if you guys are planning something on Sunday, i'd join.

by the way, has anyone done coolant flush/change? my coolant is probably never been flushed, and i'm thinking of doing it some time soon once weather getting warmer... if anyone has done it before, and give me hands, or just want to do yours at the same time, i'd like to through some cookout at my place again.

Start thinking of an excuse now of why it's lower and why the hell does it ride harder as well. No gettting around it Steve, it will look different. Tact knows this from experience LOL. Don't worry, you can say you got them for "free" from me.

Everytime I get into my car with the wife, I hear "this car is loud, and what is that "pop" sound?" I just laugh, so much fun getting into this car after driving something as sloppy as the KIA Optima.

BB, let me know if you have any used tires. I don't know if you saw my second post that answered your questions.

My wife won't know the difference BB. She's used to a hard ride.

I had a laugh this morning. I was minding my own business when a silver Honda Fit flew up on my *** on Socialville Foster Rd. If anyone knows the road, it follows a creek uphill by Landen to Western Row. Well, I owned this little POS and I guess I was driving about 3/4. He followed me up to I-71 and Western Row and pulls up next to me at the light. Youngster (everyone is a youngster to me) gives me a thumbs up. I had to laugh since I just took down a Honda Fit. It surprised me that the Fit actually handled as well as it did. Not a lot of go, but it seemed to do the corners pretty well.

Funny, I pick my fights in the 8 more than I did the MS6.

Heh, I think my wife is out of the house on Sunday so maybe I'll pop by. Kevin, I'm not sure my GPS has your address cached. I'll shoot you a PM once I check the schedule tomorrow.

I don't have any tires in stock size, but there is a guy in Cincy who sells used tires, but I don't think he has any 225/45/18's at the moment. I bought one of my tires of him, and he came up to my work and hand delivered it!

Another Rx8 is heading to the Cincinnati area! Flying to Chicago Saturday to pick it up. As long as everything checks out with the car, I'll be driving it home.

2009 R3 Black 33,000 miles

My name is Allen, and I live in Deer Park. I originally started looking for 06,07,08 around $15k, but just couldn't help but fall in love with the 09 r3. Saturday can't get here soon enough.

Actually emailed moete87 originally about his' car, before I decided to look at the new series.

Trying to think of some vanity plate ideas, open to suggestions.

Allen, congrats.

I am trying to figure out how to pay for the ohio sales tax when I do buy the car I want from out of state. You are taking a loan on it..right? Let me know how the sales tax is paid before hand. Because I think if I remember correctly, you will pay the sales tax once it is registered here.

Sales tax is paid once you go to put the title in your name. I believe sales tax is based on the KBB value, regardless what you actually pay for the car.

And congrats, Allen. I've got a the same car over in West Chester. Stick around for a bit, and once it warms up we'll organize a big meet. I think sometimes early next month we might be headed to a bar out in Deerfield for a small meet.

Thanks! Yeah my credit union and the dealer are fighting over the financing as we speak. Amazing how much they'll drop their rates to get your business.

In my case, I am paying the dealer the taxes and they pay it to the state of ohio. Which is nice b/c our tax rate is currently lower. I believe if you buy from an individual seller, then you would pay when you register the vehicle.

Hopefully this all works out, if not the wife and I will be hanging out in Chicago for the weekend.

Edit: Yeah, if you're buying from the dealer, it might be better to pay the taxes there if the blue book is higher than what you are paying. Hopefully I'm not mistaken and get hit with a tax when I register the vehicle.

Atredeus, yeah I saw your sig this morning. I have not seen many rx8's in the area for a while now, especially series II. I probably couldn't even tell the difference of the r3 until recently.

I am actually working up in the Deerfield area currently. Right next to Lowes. I haven't even sat in the R3 or seen one in person. Scary to buy something without even checking one out.
