Well just spent the last couple hours removing front and rear mud guards, and test fitting my sides. These things are straight garbage. I wouldn't give these things away. Oh well, I guess that's what I get for buying cheap crap. I'll have to look into authentic sides now, but not sure I want to go with MS anymore.

And I've never run a front plate. I got the bracket from the old owner (who also never ran the front plate), and Sweeney offered to install it. But I definitely shot that down. Both are currently sitting in my trunk.

Issues:
1- a plastic trim piece under the rear bumper that covers the exhaust has a crack. Luckily the salesman said he would order it and send it to me.
2- a little concerned on this one. We were a good 30 minutes away before I was able to get it on the highway and get to 6th gear. There was a hesitation and a grind going into gear. I assumed I either didn't have the clutch pushed far enough or that i was too soft putting it in gear. But it did it every time, but maybe got a little easier each time.
Because I didn't know the prior owner, I decided to get extended coverage beyond the powertrain warranty, so I may have to dig that out a lot sooner than expected. I also got a wheel and tire coverage so i can get the wheels fixed.
The seats are awesome! We were very comfortable on the way home. The shift beep is very addictive. Ride was very nice.
Planning on showing up tomorrow and hopefully learning something. Not sure if the wife will be coming or not, but may bring a buddy of mine who will be in the market for a Rx8 at some point.

Congrats Allen.
Hope the issues are minor, and if it's anything I can be of help with, let me know.
I didn't get as much done as i wanted to. It was too cold to really do anything quickly. I'll probably be up and working well before anyone get here.
Things left for me:
drop oil pan and re-seal it.
change plugs
put engine bay back together.
finish driver's front brakes and line.
bleed brakes
put bumper back on.
Start the sumnavabich
What i did get done today:
Drained oil
Airpump delete
new header to midpipe gasket
calipers painted
new lines and brakes on the other 3 corners.
See you all tomorrow. Don't worry if you're early or late. Feel free to give me a call if you get lost. If you're an iPhone user you can send me a text and i'll send you back a dropped pin location if you need it. If you're reading this and don't have my address and want to come over, pm me and i'll get you the info you need.
Since i don't have a grill here yet, i figure we can do a food run at some point, there's a Chipotle, BK, McD's, Wendy's, Arby's, 2 Subways, Steak n' Shake, Penn Station, Goldstar, Skyline, and a few different pizza places within 3 miles of the house. There's also a KOI, Smyth, Advanced and Autozone in the same radius if anyone needs any last minute stuffs.
Feel free to bring wives, girlfriends, or whoever. I know BB8's wife is coming tomorrow, and my wife will be here. Whatever you do, don't let her talk you into helping wash her car. You'll be stuck doing it all day.

Do I need to bring lube? We just got home. Got 20mpg on the drive back, think I can do better if I wasn't playing around on the way back.

Awesome News ![Bigok](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/bigok.gif)

It could just need a fluid change (I recommend redline MT-90). Or you could have issues like Atredeus. I don't remember what his symptoms were though. ![Dunno](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

See you tomorrow. Can't wait to see the new car.
Best part of today was when we were walking through the showroom (wife likes the new cx5 btw), we walked into the service garage where they had my 8, and my wife walked right passed the car. She turned and looked at it and I could tell she really liked it.
Can't wait for some daylight so i can shoot some pics of this thing.

I'll be there around 1:30. I have to get the Miata out of storage and I may drive that over. It needs a little love since it's been in storage for a few months. Gotta get the flat spots out of the tires. Futz, you can show me the seat trick and I can probably do it at home.
It's nice to have more S2 8's out there. We are definitely in the minority. Now I wish I would have opted for the R3. I really like those ABM ones although my wife hates that color.

Oh yeah. One important thing. Please come down the drive (Dogwood Ridge) slowly.
I get along with my neighbors and want to keep it that way, plus every critter know to these parts live and roam freely. You have a better chance of hitting a deer at my house than on the highway.

Will everyone still be there around 530? I get off work at 5 and would like to make my presence felt before I take a plunge on a new ride (hopefully) this coming week.

Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow around 1 Fuz. Hopefully I'll see a couple old faces, and possibly some new ones.

Sorry I can't be there.
Another transmission fluid to try is Motorcraft XT-M5-QS. Full synthetic, it's available at Ford dealers or online. Pretty pricey ($16-18 per quart) but it's also magic. All the Miata guys were raving so I dumped it in mine. Took about 500 miles before I noticed a difference (not too sure what had been in there), but it was very noticeable. Used to have a notchiness between first and second and that's pretty much gone now. Shifting overall is much smoother. I like it so much I used it in the Speed6 recently, and I'll be putting it in the 8 when it comes due (which will be a while since I just did it last year).

BB8, what company is the sides from, since I'm guessing they were replica's from how you made it sound.
I'm wanting sides, and I may go with replicas, but I don't want horrid fitting lol
If you have pics of how bad the fitment is I'd love to see it.

The bitch runs ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
After some coxing from the group i stuck with it until it finally sputtered to life, sounded like **** and filled the property with smoke. I let it run for about a half hour then took it up to the corner store. I got in it a bit and it's running great. It needs a good romping, but i'll have to re-bleed the brakes first. The pedal is spongy now that it's running (happens to me every damn time).![Lol](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/lol.gif)
Thanks for coming out everyone. I had a good time. Sorry i was busy with my car and didn't get to socialize as much as I normally would. Next time we do it I'll be a better host and hopefully won't have anything to do with my car.
Allen, congrats again. I'm glad you made it out![Bigok](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/bigok.gif)
Truva, nice to meet you as well. Thanks for the beers. Thanks you Tacti as well for the beers.
It was good seeing the rest of you guys again as well.
Since the wife liked having me at least home instead of gone all day, we'll have to do it again. I'm thinking sometime in the summer. We can work on the cars, or just grill out and shoot the ****.
