Car looks good brilliant black. What kind of mods have you done to your 8?
I say lets have the meet on October 4th, and invite anyone. I think the more cars and people we have the better. Also, I think we should grill out and maybe play alittle cornhole or just bullshit and take a long *** cruise for real this time. The first part of the cruise that we went on by the Cincy / NKY airport was perfect, but it would be better if we could extend that. Maybe Steve and I can go out one weekend and joy ride and find a cruise route or something. What do you think Steve?
Anyone have any other ideas? I was thinking getting the meet started at 1pm and go on the cruise at around 2ish 230ish. Like what I had said before..the meet is open to all types of cars..not just RX8s.
Let me know what you all think..
GO BUCKS!!

Anyone have any good ideas for modding? I think I want the Racing Beat intake with ram air, but I also want something that will help me move though my RPMs a lot faster!..anyone with any good ideas how I can accomplish that? I am not looking to spend more than $400-$500. Thanks in advance..

Sorry about that..just wasnt thinking clearly, just a little tired lastnight. What we could do is meet at 1pm, then go out on the cruise at around 4ish 430ish.
Anyone have suggestions where we could meet? Same spot as the last meet?

Yeah I was thinking that, but I would want to put the flywheel on myself instead of paying someone else to do it because I know it will be a pretty penny to put that flywheel on.

unless you have a mondo garage with a chassis lift, or a buddy who will let you use his, I would not recommend it.
Another good way to get some more power is wideband+AFC, Rotaries run rich as a rule so lean her out a bit and she will respond, especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust without cats, again coming from 7 experience here but guys have gotten 160ish to the wheels on an N/A FC that is rated 160 at the flywheel with just: intake, exhaust, and the wideband+AFC combo.
Somethin to think about

Less Weight = Better RX8
I have the lightened flywheel. (ACT Clutch and Flywheel) It does rev noticably quicker. I am not too sure how much power it changes because I had the motor replaced at the same time. It does feel faster and the motor likes to rev at high rpm even more.
From my understanding, it is a pain to replace the flywheel. It takes two guys to take the nut off because of the high torque needed. I had the dealer replace it at the time they replaced the engine.
The only downside is that you cannot start the car moving without giving it some gas. Also, if you speed shift without the clutch (like I do) you need to be much quicker as the revs drop much faster. It is a small price to pay.
For a comparison, I also had the flywheel lightened in my Audi A6 2.7t. That car had about 310HP and 380 ft.lb tq. I did notice a difference in accelleration with the lightened flywheel. This is why I decided to do this on the RX8 when I had the chance to do it when Mazda replaced the motor.

Oh I totally know that its a bitch to take off, I was just sounding off that I know the dealership will charge me an arm and a leg to put the aftermarket flywheel on.
I just want to gain alittle bit more power and be able to go through the RPM's quicker. osgood..where can I get that wideband and all that good jazz at? What are some good aftermarket online stores? Also, anyone have any good ideas for employement? I want to work at a speed shop but its so damn hard to get in.
Ok, what does everyone want to do for the meet? Does the 4th of October work for everyone?

Moete, The wideband i'm looking at: Zeitronix, the ZT-2, I want it for the boost gauge and EGT add-ons, plus i like the small lcd display better than a round gauge.
Other good widebands
Innovative Motorsports
AEM
there are more but i don't really wanna keep searching lol, there is a thread somewhere on the 7club that has alot of good info
As far as AFC's I would definitely recommend the A'PEXI NEO, best bang for the buck, easy to install (4 wires i think), easy to setup, and use.
Or if you wanna go all out the A'PEXI POWER FC is a good choice
lol not to sound like an A'PEXI salesman or anything, but they really are the only company that offers any worth looking at.
