All the kewl people hang out at Landen Krogers. I hang out in the produce section and show the ladies my pick in cucumbers. They have a nice melon selection there too.

Getting the itch for some external sound. Big jar of coins is getting pretty full so if the count is good, maybe a purchase of some catback?

Did a rehash of some video I shot this Spring. Getting to know iMovie a bit. I may upgrade to Final Cut Pro if I really get into editing with more controls.

Were you drinking during that run, lol...crossing the line there quite a bit my man and I am curious to hear more about these cucumber picks of yours

Seriously pretty good video - is that a go-pro mount?

I was watching the cam mount out the side mirror.

The sound sucked on the GoPro so I added the soundtrack. I now have a digital recorder that I can mount on the rear and then sync it with the video. I did a test run Thurs and it may work once I tweak it.

I have one scheduled later this month. Once you hit 50, the doctors recommend you get one. Wait, that's a colonoscopy.

That's engine #2 that needs a compression test?

No, you wouldn't. Trust me on that.

You know, if you maybe put some oil in your car once in a while you wouldn't keep going through engines. Just sayin'...

Oil? Vodka Tonics work just as well and your exhaust will kill mosquito-born malaria.

Mike, I have one scheduled for later this month. Got the prep kit today. Yum yum.

I've been putting oil in the gas tank - doesn't need anywhere else...right? lmao #rotornoob

I haven't calculated to normalize at 250 rpm but we got:
B1 @ 260 rpm 8.1, 8.2, 8.2 B2 @ 269 rpm 8.1, 8.1, 8.1

SO shouldn't be the issue pretty much - King's worked some voodoo - CEL's gone vacuum lines on the intake refitted (AKA attached) and we shall go from there...I hope it really will end up being that easy.

I hope it ends up being that easy too. I know how frustrating it is when you can't get it running right.

New topic, question for anyone with some BMW knowledge (Kevin, you out there?). I need the measurements of the bottom and back of the sport seats (pseudo-Recaros) from a mid-80's to '90s 3 series, mainly the width. I have a plan...

I don't know the measurements, but BMW seats are usually less than supportive, and too short for good support under your legs. I'm not sure what the old sport seats are like though. Ever the famed Vader seats from the lat 90's m3 are uncomfortable and not very supportive. If your plan is for the old 7, they'd probably look pretty good and period correct. The e30 (generation you're talking about) is a pretty small car.

Edit: after some quick searching, I didn't find any measurements, but it seems that the e30 sports are pretty comfy and easy to find.

Thanks Kevin. Those are the ones I'm looking at. They will be going into the Miata, I already have a set of older Recaros for the 7 (complete with period mesh headrests but they need to be recovered). Near as I can tell from pictures the BMW seats are similar to a Recaro but somewhat cheaper and more available. The pearl beige looks fairly close to my interior. I'm limited on size, according to the Miata.net chart, max for the seat cushion is 19.5" while the back is 21.5".

If anyone's due for a tune up and needs plugs, wires and coils, I have new ones in the box for $250.00. They're going on ebay later this week.

Thanks James. I'm kind of going for a look if you will, some seats with a separate headrest. If I could find another set of older Recaros like the ones I got the the 7 it would be nice, but in the course of my looking I saw the BMW seats and they appear almost as good. Here's a sample of the ones I'm talking about: BMW e30 M3 318is 325is 325e 325i Recaro Natur / Tan Perforated Vinyl Sport Seats | eBay

I've sent the seller a query about measurements, I'll see what they come back with.

Mike, you back home yet? If not, what part of the world are you in?

Beautiful weather here the past couple days, but of course, it's supposed to rain on Saturday. Maybe no Fuel again.

Unfortunately no Steve. I've only been out a little over a month so I have about two to go (depending upon how our schedule gets set). Joined in Spain at a shipyard, we loaded in Nigeria as usual now headed back to southern Spain with this cargo.

The person selling those seats I linked raised his price $150 since yesterday. Don't know if it's because I expressed an interest or what, but I won't be buying his.

Sorry to change the subject but I am curious if anyone knows of a good place around the Cincinnati area to take my car to have the lowering springs I just got installed at a reasonable price? I would do it myself but I'm just unable to find time between school and work... plus I don't really have all of the necessary tools to do it. All of the places I have called so far won't touch aftermarket springs.

Wait until you try having it aligned with a lower than stock ride height.

You might get lucky and get someone on here to help you. I'm just a little too far away to be of any assistance. I do all my own work so can't help with a shop recommendation.

Well with more searching around I just realized you can rent a spring compressor from autozone so that helps. I may just go ahead a try and tackle it whenever I get some free time. Will just have to wait.

Its really not all that difficult to do on your own. It takes me anywhere from 2.5 to 6 hours depending on how shitty the underside of your car is (dan ). You only need basic hand tools to do it, and there are quite a few DIY's on the site about it. I've done too many of them at this point and i'm retiring from spring installs, not to mention i've been quite busy all summer and what looks like all fall.

PS. If all goes through as planned, the 8 will be gone tomorrow.
