Clutch Install
Hey does anyone recommend a shop that will install a clutch of my choosing for me.
I'd like to buy the below clutch for my car and have it installed locally in the greater Cincinnati area.
http://blackhaloracing.com/products-...lease-bearing/
Essentially an Exedy Mazda Speed Clutch Kit with HD Release Bearing
I've tried AAMCO and they won't even talk to me because I want to buy my own parts.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian

I can't really help with a shop as I always do my own work (exceptions being things like alignments).
Looks like it will be a Miata day at Fuel Saturday, they are saying the rain will hold off. Took the wife out today (first time she has ridden since I put the windblocker on) and she said it was much better.

Clutch Install for Brian
Just wanted to chime in and say I can attest to this dudes work. He did my clutch this week and I got her back tonight and so far she is spot on. The pedal is like a hot knife through butter and the gearshift is as tight as a newborn kitten. It's performance so far is certainly more than I had hoped for and I really, really love my 6-speed and driving it hard, the new clutch gives it a more erotic feel for sure. This guy knows his 8's and I trust him with my baby!

Made it back to the ship with my sanity and luggage intact. Our Internet is slower than last time (think there are more people using it) so I probably won't be posting often as this site takes forever to load for some reason.

That looks like a sweet set up. I don't have a PS3 or I would've gotten GT5, but I got Need for Speed for the 360 and it's pretty sweet.

What's up gentlemen and ladies?
GT5 is tempting, but I don't really do any gaming what-so-ever, so i can't justify the price of a ps3+the game+a decent wheel just to have one game
How's everybody been? I've been meaning to put the 8 away for the winter, but haven't been able to let her sit. Looks like it's gonna happen this weekend though

I haven't had this issue before, but I believe I've seen it on a service bulletin for 8's. If I remember correctly the SSV can get stuck due to carbon build up. In which case I would try seafom to clean out the engine and romp on the engine to try to clean up that carbon build up to see if that valve will close. I'm pretty new to rotays though, so don't take my word for it. Hope that helps.

mine got stuck but my car was still under warranty so they replaced the whole thing for free so i cant be of much help but i dont think the cost is too high to just have mazda fix it.

On another note, I'm storing the 8 for the winter, so I'm contemplating selling my stockers with blizzacks on them. I know it's a little late in the season though. They're 225/40/18's so they're a little shorter than stock, but i had no problems and they worked great. They still have a ton of tread on them. 2 of the wheels have some curb rash, the other two are pretty clean. I don't need to get rid of them, i just want some of my storage space back. PM me if you're interested.
