so while my car has been parked for snow someone has hit it. Minor damage to rear bumper and plastic around exhaust anyone know if a good reasonably priced body shop around? Insurance estimated it $477 right under my $500 deductible so any ideas much appreciated.

Just a heads up, lost two tires and wheels and possibly more damage to my Rx-8 Sunday Night on I-71 Northbound Lane near Roberts Road overpass in Northern KY (MM 69 area) to a large pothole! Anyone traveling in that area needs to use extreme caution!

Agree. I just checked and that is on I-71 proper, before it joins with I-75 (if you are heading north from Louisville). That road isn't in the best of shape normally, only two lanes and a ton of truck traffic. I always hate when I have to drive, thankfully not too often any more.

A friend of mine's dad has a shop in Hamilton, Ohio if you want to check it out. It's called Hetterich Body Shop. He just did repairs for my 8, since I was unfortunately in an accident late December. He did the repairs to my front bumper and does good work so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Not in the way you mean. We are on shore power at a shipyard in Spain. Getting some boiler repairs done, bunch of other stuff ourselves in the engine room. Now if someone would just decide what they are going to do with us, life would be good! In any case, if they decide to lay the ship up for a bit I'll be here another three weeks getting her put to bed.
In my spare time, I'm plotting over parts for the Miata. Looking at getting some wheels now, have to decide between hypersilver and matte bronze by Monday.

Matte bronze would look pretty good with your color. The hypersilver will too, but might look a little more like chrome. Let me know what wheels, and I can photoshop them for you on your car, or a pic of another in your color.

Just wanted to drop in and say Hello.
I just recently purchased a Titanium Grey 2005 Rx-8.
I live in Union KY, 20-30 minutes from Newport and I attend NKU, so if you see an Asian in a Ti Grey Rx-8 that's bone stock rolling around that's me.

Welcome byako. I'm not too far from you in Burlington. If you see a woman with huge sunglasses rolling speeding around in a lightly modified silver RX-8 (or a Speed6, but probably not the Miata), that's my wife. We'll have to get you to come to Fuel when it is warmer.

This seems really weird. Maybe its just that the owners tried out the car in the snow and had some sort of mental breakdown....
There are TWO RX8 FSBO's within 3 miles of me now.
The other one just went out to the street last night, and I could not get the VIN because of snow/nowhere to park issues.
I'll get the VINs ASAP and post.
I suppose I should mention that I am out in the "far east" In the Greater Amelia/Bethel metroplex.
Home to 2 2004 Velocity Red X8's... and at least one person who actually KNOWS how to drive one...

I'll be there in spirit Tact...
Kevin, thanks for the pictures. Already put my order in, but I'm going to make everyone wait until I actually get them on the car to see what my choice was. Good excuse for folks to come to Fuel, if they need one!

Tacti,
I'll be there this morning. I think i'm gonna get the 8 out of hibernation. She needs a hug and a beating.
byako: If you're up and about, check out the "FUEL" we're talking about. Cars and Coffee every saturday, all year long. Not as good as the summer months right now, but still good people.

You didn't happen to go to NKU and take night classes last fall did you? I used to see a TiGrey, lowered with aftermarket exhaust parking in one of the parking garages close to the new building they are building up there. I was in the market for a Winning Blue one till I saw this particular 8 and noticed TiGrey wasn't a bad color.
