Byako: Cars and Coffee at Fuel is a saturday morning thing. It technically starts at 8:00 AM, but no one is there that early. Since it's cold, most people have their toys put away including me even though I made an exception last week. Once spring and summer hit, it's hopping. Hopefully you'll be able to head there then If not, we'll have to get some type of meet going that everyone can attend.

yeah i can't wait for this spring. I should have my new engine broken in and a few more mods done and be ready to take her out. Fuel is a great time for those of you who have not been down. All kinds of cars and people and most of the people are pretty cool as long as you don't roll in with a rice bucket.

yeah thats where i bought it and the service guys there have been great so far. the engine was supposed to be in yesterday at the earliest, but he said it could be up to like another week. then like 3-5 days for install and replacement of the oil system if thats what caused it and the cat if its been damaged from me driving around with a blown seal... so still like a couple more weeks. I'm having some serious withdrawal lol.

Kerry's done a few 8 engine swaps, couple of times when I have been in buying parts they had one up on the lift with its guts hanging out. The techs seem much better now than when I bought my Protege from them in '03. I took it in for an A/C problem and had them change the oil at the same time (first change). When I went to change it the next time myself, the filter was barely on. I'm surprised it didn't blow right off.

so as those of you who have seen my car know, my rims could use a good makeover. i think i want to go with powder coating since the paint didn't work so well, or i just suck at doing it...
does anyone know where i can get them done at a reasonable price?
the wheel doctor is expensive... like over $100 per wheel... i would just buy new rims for that much.

Thought I was going to have to post in here and kick start things but I see there has been some activity lately.
I'm suffering from wanna-drive fever badly. Scored a hardtop for the Miata, I conned my buddy into not only picking it up for me in Louisville but fronting me the money. Probably going to have to get it painted, it's Merlot Mica which is close but has some bad scratches. That should set us up for our trip to The Mitty. Wife doesn't know about it yet, I'm going to spring it on her. Should you see me at Fuel when I get home with a black eye, you'll know the news didn't go over too well.

So long as I feel better by Friday I plan on going home after work Friday night. So I'll be there this Saturday if I get back to Cincy. I've had the flu for the past couple days and still not feeling 100%.

Im coming down this weekend, don't have my new rims yet... But lima isn't to bad 3 hrs for you. Wish i could bring ur wheels backup but fitting 4rims in a car with em & I and our bags would be impossible. Believe me i tried. But ill try to make it to fuel, what time will it be around? But theirs lots of paint shops in lima for good prices.
