NKY is a bit of a haul for some of us, so you best make it worth it

BB8: there are way more roads in NKY to drive that put rt.8 to shame. The S2K club puts on quite a ridge run. Word on the street is that they'll be doing another sometime in september. I'm sure i can get the route from the organizer for our use if we choose to. It's a few hours of driving, with a stop and a really good Buffet for lunch. Totally worth the price of gas.

Tact: the vid looks great. You definitely caught the best parts of the drive
Who had the two first gen 7s? I'm looking at (finally) getting moving on the restoration of mine.

I appreciate that. I guess that would mean having to drive the 8 though, unless I wanted to be stuck at the rear!

I can vouch for KY roads, there are some great ones that are very close to my house. Making a run down to Rabbit Hash is always a good time, provided you watch out for the spots where the road has washed off the hillside. Oh, and the random wildlife too.

Cheif,

I have no problems with the miata being where ever it wants to be in the line

The fb's are Ryan (white) and Darik (Grey). Ryan is RyMon on the ohio rotaries forum and tends to always have parts when people need them. He has a brown one stashed away with a built 13bRE in it as well.

That was a Great Ride!
Thanks Fuztupnz for planning the route.
My car has never been driven like that before (The previous owner babied it to no end - lucky for me). Sure, it's been past 110 + a few times, but that was on - wide straight concrete highways. I knew it cornered well, but following people in twists & turns failry fast really showed me that it really rails!

It was nice to meet everyone and see other 8's.

Painful to look at (from Jalopnik) but it'll buff right out.

R.I.P. RX-8. Still over 300 in lots around the country. Still a couple at Kings and Sweeney.

Here was some pics from Fuel last Saturday. Good to see a few of you there. My friend Bob's FD in the foreground in the first pic.

I hate it when we line are cars up, it makes my 8 look like it has a lift kit on it compared to everyone else.

If only I had bought coilovers instead of a bike.

Nice pics guys...wish I could have been there but my GPA thanks me for not going, lol. My clutch pretty much seized up so dropped it off at Kings and it was the !@#$%^ pilot bearing. Not my fault!!!!! I think I was lucky it didn't cause some catastrophic failure. Hope to see you all at the next meet before winter sets in! Now....what other part can I destroy on my car <insert evil laugh here>

Stopped and talked to Bob about his FD for a short bit before he left. Nice guy, had a lot of great things to say about the 8 too. And the Lotus and Porsche were sick.

Too bad the picture doesn't come with audio. Pretty sure you'd outshine us there :P

Nope. It's about a 10 hour drive from here for me Zumn. I was hoping to get to MotoGP in Indy this weekend, but it doesn't look like it's in the cards this year.

Scott was down at Fuel last Saturday with his Mustang. Great guy, but he's moving to Austin sometime in the future. His wife is getting transferred there with her job. Kings is going to lose a good service adviser.

Well, maybe we can visit him when the US GP starts up there next November.

Calipers and such look much better.

Get the wheels and tires mounted yet?

Once they're on, we can do a shoot if you want. Just let me know when and I'll rent a couple lenses again. If anyone else is interested, let me know. We can get some shost together from the ky side with the Roebling and downtown in the background like I did with my buddies GT3 and Z4M.

Mazdax3 - Maybe we can collaborate and i can learn something from you. we can also try to get some rolling shots. The Taylor-Southgate bridge might be coole, or the Big Mac
