1st Annual ROTOR JAM on 7/13/2008
Hello Everyone,
Here is an update to the NEW event. After the event fell through at Englishtown's Raceway park, i began scrambling trying to find us a location in such a short period of time.
A viable option was Governors Island in NYC, but due to the location and Ferry operations it would be a nightmare logistically speaking to get cars on and off the island. Therefore I contacted the location where ROTORFEST was held previously; ISLAND DRAGWAY.
I have discussed this and reserved the location for Sunday July 13, 2008 @ 11:00AM.

DRAG RACING TIME: 5:00-6:00PM

So same place under new name/management. It's not bad for a first year. Really, it might make the transition easier as people can recycle their travel plans from last year. Then, the management will have a major meet under their belt with a better plan for launching RotorJam2.

From Central Mass, thats about 230 miles one way. I'm thinking about Leading a caravan from Central Mass either early that morning, or the night before if i can find a cheap enough hotel close to the drag strip, PM me with possible meet locations and such.
Lets rep MA with a big caravan!

Sweet.. I already know where it is lol.. Sucks but at the same time take a head count, you know there will be TONS of photo's taken, so next year you can go to whereva and say "listen this is what I brought to a tiny drag way.. imagine if I had your place to get people to come?".
Guess me and GreenBlur will get ourselves situated to run the MA/New England leg of a caravan going, atleast for the 8's. Last year no 7's bit at my attempt of a caravan going down I-95.
Hmm Chris you better be contacting a fellow bald headed 8 owner and see if he cares to stop by to promote himself
