PM sent to ya my10
Just give me a time you wish us to be there by so me and holy can set things up for a mini-southshore meet up.

Btw for those interested in meeting up from the southshore, thinking maybe Joes American Bar and Grill parkinglot in Dedham as a meeting spot? Its right offa 95 and none of this "take a left then a right then pass the broken down car" kinda directions lol. Reply thoughts or another idea 'cause I'm game.

Rodrigo, if you hit 95 instead of going all the way to Boston from the pike you can meet up with us.
sounds good, whats a good meeting place above I-90 on I-95 and whats a good time to meet.

It would be pretty nice to pull into the show with all the 8's together...

Got your PM My10, mapquest says its a 1.5hr's to your place but the way most of us will be driving it will most likely be about a hour if that hehe. Gonna send a few Pm's myself to get this rolling dont want this to be last minute thrown together. Just need to buy a small folding chair that will actualy fit in our trunk and a decent cooler for soda and water (no booze boo haha).

Oh btw will there be food there like a cookout or anything?
Maybe they can serve Mulligan? haha.. yeah stupid funny but I try.

Exclamation

Hey Guys:

So the plan is to meet up at my house for approx. 7:30am or so to leave by 8:00am. It takes about 20-25 mins to get over to the Bud plant. This will give us enough time to park and detail up our cars.

I'm guessing from last year, the dontaion to get in to the show is like $10. For those that went last year, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I will be having a few Miata folks tag along with us to head over to the show, one of which is my wife.

Folks that sent me PM's have my address to meet up. If you wanna meet up over my house, drop me a pm for directions.

See everyone this coming Sat!

Let's hope for good weather!

my10ae: Thanks for the offer to meet-up. I'm hoping if I'm in the Bud plant parking lot at around 8:15, near the entrance (which is well before the event registration entrance) I'll spot the caravan. I met up with Spin this way last year.

See ya all Saturday!

Oranje

BTW, my zoom-zoom live scores:

Mazda Speed Challenge: 25 (42:176)
CX7 Target Hunt: 25 (between 50%-74% of targets)
Match Time Gymkhana: 25 (matched time of 59:00 within .127 seconds)

And all i got was a ******* t-shirt

CX-7 Hunt: 15 out of 24 = 50
MazdaSpeed Challenge: 43.304 = 15

Anyone else NOT impressed by the MazdaSpeed6?

Oh yeah, since I won't be participating in the actual show here are a few pics of my car.

Smoked the tails and corners. I used to have clear corners. Also blacked out my emblems.

Barely impressed, didn't like how it bogged down (turbo lag?) in 2nd at the hairpin after massive understeer, lots of roll too. I musta went in too fast, but it shoulda turned, instead just plowed (like a pig). Either it needs better tires or better balance or both or I need to stop driving my 8 and expecting better. For a secure feeling family sedan, in less than tight cornering, it could be competitive however.

Spin -

I totally agree...

PLOW TRUCK. Paint it orange and it could work for the NH DOT. I was extremely dissapointed with the understeer and I drove 3 times each time trying different styles and angles. Each time it just pushed through. LOTS of turbo lag. After you come out of the last chicane there is not enough room for that turbo to kick in and shave a few of your time.

I did hear Stu Hayner (instructor) say that the car was designed to understeer!? I am not sure why and I never got a chance to ask but he said something like,

...designed to understeer for those people that don't know how to drive...

IMO Oversteer would be easier for a retarded driver to control. At least you can steer out of it?

Alas... most people won't be driving it like that.

Good car for the daily drive.

So you wish to join the DRKSYDE my son??

They were pretty easy to do. I'm just not gonna tell. I want to be unique for a lil while! There are some on the forum with them done and admittedly thats where I got my idea. So much for originality! They do look sick and just emphasize my license plate.

Thanks for the compliment Clavius! Maybe someday I will tell. :

Me and Holy are still game, though we may have a entire police force chasing behind us to get to your place in time hahaha. Thankfully it will be early enough that we wont have alot if any traffic at all on the highway so going erm "fast" hehe.. wont be a problem.

Also got a email saying my Evo-R Eyelids got shipped today, so hopefully my um "Headlight Restoration Kit" will be in today also along with my d.s. visor so I'll be looking just a little bit less like stock by the show!!!!!

Clavius:

Let me know how your "headlight restoration kit" fiasco goes. I'm sure you'll have the "brightest" headlights at the show. See so you won't be "all" stock...

Absolutely ready, except for doing all the polishing with that toothbrush heehee. ....I have a couple surprises to hopefully snaga trophy, but sounds like the competition from some of you is going to be a challenge and a half ! So I'll have to add at least another coat of liquid glass or four....

I'm going for the Pitty Vote myself!!

My10ae as it looks right now Holy, me and Rod might head directly up to the show. We did some thinking and we'd have to get up very damn early to make it to your place especially Rod who is coming from western MA ><! I dont have a cell (I'm ghetto like dat hommies haha) so I'll pass your number to Holy (assuming the number ya gave me was a cell?) so we can tell you where we are at.

Now to go find a decent folding chair on sale (gotta luv back-to-school stuff that force's summer crap on sale haha). And a small cooler, just sucks no booze but 'eh I'll live off Pepsi I guess. Any restrictions on food? I aint gonna bring a grill obviously but dont wanna bring a thing of chips and get yell at haha.

Oh yeah when Drksyde shows up you all have to distract him long enough for me to swipe his tail lights ok? kkthxbye

Chairs 4 cheap... check Walmat camping dept. No food restrictions, you'd after acll on the grill, but I thought I saw one last year.... a guy and his wife and dog w/their Ferrari really had a setup for relaxing and watching the crowds go by.

I think it was this guy...see his little camp at the top of the pic? Still best to call or email...
