This Link should get you to the latest Route revision. I made a few changes to save some time and to hit some really cool roads based on my personal experience. This is still a work in progress and I am, in no way, trying to force my will on the group. I'm just doing some research and throwing out these changes for the group to review. Comments and suggestions are expected so we can end up with a route that is acceptable for all. I'm just doing the "leg" work and collecting the suggestions.
So, assuming you are able to use the above link, here are my proposed stopping points. These stopping points are represented by addresses (as specific as possible) in the Google map.
1. Bennington, VT at the Hemmings Sunoco station
2. Hannaford Supermarket in Greenwich, NY
3. My house (for lunch) in Corinth, NY
4. Charlie John's Store in Speculator, NY
5. Stewart's Convenient store in Tupper Lake, NY
6. Your Hotel??? in Lake Placid
7. Whiteface Memorial Highway in Wilmington, NY
8. Ausable Chasm in Keeseville, NY
9. Crown Point Bridge State Park in Crown Point, NY
10. JD's Quick Stop in Hancock, VT
11. End of Run in Bethel, VT (meeting place ???)
Each stop leaves approximately 90 minutes of driving before the next stop except Bennington and Tupper Lake. The Bennigton stop is around 1 hour and is for a gas up and to get a feel for how everyone will stay together and working out the kinks/ putting on the comfortable pants/ going to the restroom for those that never listen to their Grandmothers, etc. Plust the Hemmings shop is a pretty cool gas station with a huge parking area in the rear. The Tupper Lake stop is to gas up and only leaves 30 minutes to Lake Placid.
These are just my proposed "Scheduled" stops. If the weather is anywhere near decent I'm sure there will be impromptu scenic/photo-op stops along the way.
Comments Please!!

I would change the Bennington stop to the Bennington Battle Monument.
Also from Brattleboro to Bennington, there is only one traffic light! Thats in Wilmington... halfway between.
Also we will pass by the Bethel High School and they have a fairly large parking lot. We can all group there and then its only 5 miles to I 89 from there.
There will also be photo ops along the way especially between lunch and Lake Placid.
Texas Falls in Hancock too. Rodrigo67 and some of the others know this place.

It was warm and sunny today in Montreal... after 2 months of northern cold it feels GOOOOOD! Went for a drive in the 8 with all windows down and I was thinking about the spring run... JUST... CAN'T... WAIT!
I was so into it that a suspiscious cop followed me for a few blocks because I was keeping it in the revs high and practiced my double clutch downshifts at every light

(note that googlemaps' suggested route skips Lincoln Gap, which I assume we want to drive over)

All great feedback. I think the map on Deslock's post hits everything. We'll call that the latest greatest version and go from there.
This is my first of several warnings about the Luzerne Mountain Road going from Glens Falls to my house in Corinth - IT IS WILD going up the mountain. There are 4 hairpin turns in a row and they are all blind, in the thick woods, and on the side of the mountain. Be careful the first time up, but you might want to turn around and try it again When they say 15 mph they really mean it... okay maybe 25, but if you are going 35 you're in trouble. The rest of the road is pretty good too, but not anything near the first mile. ENJOY.

Tire Update!
Well since I mentioned I was looking for tires earlier.... Figured I would post what I ended up going with. Ordered these a few minutes ago.
Nitto Nex Gen's 245/40/18 $129/ea. discount tire direct.
They have great reviews and I couldn't pass them up with the wider stance for the price.

If you already sent me (or Mendossa) your info, or someone else has it just ingnore my re-send.

I'm leaving out the smaller meetup that aren't really part of the run, such as me & pgrothe meeting in Montreal and Deslock, Ctrx8 and rodrigo67 meeting in Amherst MA.

You can't open the file... hmm... does it pop an error or something? Make sure you use the latest link (ends in .htm).

The problem is that when I bought my computer the apple store installed a trial version of excel, and word, etc to move files from my pc to the iMac.After this I bought the real versions of microsoft office w/word,excel,powerpoint,etc.Now when I try to open those type files it says my trial version has run out.Man I wish I were better with computers.

Since the SPTs are kinda the "successors" of the 712s and supposedly a bit better, I figured it would be a good choice for the RX-8.

It was down to the Khumos and the Nittos for me... I was very close on the SPT's! Hopefully I don't regret my choice!
