I hate when companies give the "yes, it will ship this week" when they know full well they don't have ****. Pisses me off.

Changed my order to Vivid Racing. They don't have it in stock but they are located in the same building that Agency Power is. Agency Power is out of stock and expecting them in two weeks.

Just wondering, any of you guys have the axial flow short shifter? I've heard so much positive feedback on it that I'd like to try one to see the difference. Any AF SS equiped 8 scheduled to be on the Spring Run?

Gf is not coming on the trip but she's gonna be coming to LimeRock with her kids.

Soo.... anyone want a roomie for Saturday night?? Will save you a few bucks (which I desperately need to do).

I put the new Nittos on the stock wheels today...

The grip is much better! (not saying much!)

MUCH MUCH Quieter than the stock Potenzas.

The sidewall is a little softer than I would like but they aren't horrible.

Can't wait to put my new wheels!! 3 1/2 weeks and counting.... Tick Tock.

Did you talk to Chrism? Do you know if he's going yet? I thought he had said he wouldn't mind rooming...

I'll send him a PM if I dont see him online in the next few days. Friggin' hate my boss for ******* around with my hours and ****. Long story short he's trying to get me fired and trying to pay the car and insurance bills plus keep myself alive has been hard as hell grrr.... hoping to find a job before then though.

Clavius,

If you offer for a roomie is still open, I'll take you up on it.

Not to kill the tire/mpg hi-jacking going on here , but I thought I'd swing this back to the run.

Mendossa/dmc, how is the spreadsheet coming? Do you have everyone's information?

Also, is anyone planning to meet at the Bow Jct. park/ride at the bottom of I-89 & I-93? DRK has informed me that we will need to leave there at 6:30am to make it to the meeting point on time.

And just a reminder, with the car show that will be in Lake Placid that weekend, make your room arrangements now!

Looking forward to this drive!!!

I do have to update the spreadsheet, probably this weekend.

At this point there's about 20 of us that are solidly confirmed with meetups assigned, about 10 for whom we have contact info but no meetup point and a handful of no show: people who expressed interest but didn't reply to any message or didn't come back into the thread.

Sounds about right. All the info I received has been forwarded to Mendossa.

Looking forward to the run - I can't wait to see this many 8s in a row.

I'm putting my summer tires back on tonight. Yah!!! (Nothing to ge too excited about . . . all OEM, but at least I am one of the lucky ones with the Dunlop 8090's.)

Very excited for this run. My wife and I are staying in Stowe Sunday night so we can meander back home through the White Mountains on Monday . . . can you say Kancamagus?

we once had 21 rx8's show up to a very cold run up the hampden beach coast last year. It was the most I ever seen in one place. This sounds like it will be bigger

Hey Bubbles,

Glad your back, hope your coming on this run.

Yup, I got rid of the 8. I didn't want to, but the lease was up and Mazda wanted more for the buyout then what it was worth. I do miss it but started looking at other cars. I looked at the Audi quattro 2.0 t, a G35, a Bmw 3 series, IS250, and a legacy GT.

The audi was way underpowered and expensive. The G35 and the Bimmer was close to 40K by the time I got what I wanted on them. The IS was horrible on handling. I loved the legacy until I found out that they will lose over 50% of thier value in 3 years which made the lease payments more then the BMW.

So, I started looking at other less preferred cars. The mini and the cobalt ss and mazdaspeed3, but I really didn't want a FWD car, so I decided to wait for my next car, which comes out sometimes next year. A pontiac G8 GPX. 4 doors, 5 passenger, almost 400hp, almost 400 torque, 6 speed, and 50/50 weight and RWD. Thats the leading contender. Also, will consider the new Altima which has a stretched G35 body and the 3.5 eng. + RWD.

In the mean time, I bought a loaded 07 Mazda3 so I could teach my teeenage daughter how to drive. It's a manumatic, so I can still pretend I have a manual. The car becomes hers when I buy the G8 sometime next year.

SO, I will be in the slow group on this run, but at least the auto rx8's can keep up with me...
