My roommate will be coming with his Impreza. I'll be sharing the hotel room with him, so hotel's taken care of. Since he'll be following me and coming from the same point, I don't think we need another Excel spreadsheet entry.

Wow, that's some gift for your daughter. Good luck with whatever you get.

Yup, I got rid of the 8. I didn't want to, but the lease was up and Mazda wanted more for the buyout then what it was worth. I do miss it but started looking at other cars. I looked at the Audi quattro 2.0 t, a G35, a Bmw 3 series, IS250, and a legacy GT.
The audi was way underpowered and expensive. The G35 and the Bimmer was close to 40K by the time I got what I wanted on them. The IS was horrible on handling. I loved the legacy until I found out that they will lose over 50% of thier value in 3 years which made the lease payments more then the BMW.
So, I started looking at other less preferred cars. The mini and the cobalt ss and mazdaspeed3, but I really didn't want a FWD car, so I decided to wait for my next car, which comes out sometimes next year. A pontiac G8 GPX. 4 doors, 5 passenger, almost 400hp, almost 400 torque, 6 speed, and 50/50 weight and RWD. Thats the leading contender. Also, will consider the new Altima which has a stretched G35 body and the 3.5 eng. + RWD.
In the mean time, I bought a loaded 07 Mazda3 so I could teach my teeenage daughter how to drive. It's a manumatic, so I can still pretend I have a manual. The car becomes hers when I buy the G8 sometime next year.
SO, I will be in the slow group on this run, but at least the auto rx8's can keep up with me...

hey kev,
Sorry you couldn't make it. I really wanted to see the speed3. Other then the hood, spoiler, and slight difference in the fogs, it looks just like the regular 3 hatch. Serious sleeper.
Love the lic plate...

I was thinking, why not take the Miata to the Adriondacks run?

I have the MS CAI on it for now. Just installed my Tenzo GT-5's. Gonna run pretty much stock for now as to not draw any more attention than the car already does.
Its not a matter of which car I could bring on the run (I could take either), its finding the time. The weekend of this run I have something going on with my Miata Club.

Hey guys,
I am definatly going on this run,and I even took a run up to Brattleboro on Sunday,so now I know how to get there(I went to look at a van for sale). I was wondering where in Brattleboro we are going to meet? I would like to head up there the night before, but with our situation with watching our kids, and finances we are most likely just going up there on saturday morning. It took me around 2.5 hours from Carver,MA to Brattleboro,VT,and that was driving well over the posted speed limits most of the time.Maybe I wasn't going as fast as I thought as my speedo may be off,but I still think I was going over the limit most of the trip, and there was little to no traffic. The trip from around Gardner,MA west was really fun,and winding even in an acient car such as mine.If we have a set place to meet in Brattleboro could you guys let me know,as I can't seem to find it in the multiple posts to this thread.Thanks.

Medossa's link for meeting points, etc.
Got buried pretty far back . . .
I believe the meeting time is 8 a.m. at 972 Putney Road, Brattleboro, VT for Saturday morning.
Check PM.
