Holy I forget do you live south of me now? My memory at times is pure shytnit lol

Deep and to others interested in a caravan of sorts, depending on how many from the southshore/boston area wish to meet up I'd be willing to hook up at 2 spots max. The first obviously is the initial start and the 2nd a quick in and out say at a reststop on the highway (less downtime that way). Be great if that rest stop had a gas station for those of us with shyt gas milage (like um.. say me! lol)

Right now I'm 75% still going which I hate to friggin' admit but again my boss is screwing me out of hours but come Tuesday a resolution should be made. Might just suck it up and possibly ask my dad for a small 2k loan. Be enough for tires, and buying the skid plate/cowl piece's for my car plus some buffer money. I still can't believe that isnt covered by Bumper to Bumper aint my fault Mazda use's shitty *** screws to hold it in place. Ahh I swear this run is gonna be a major stress release for me. Wish the Gf was coming but her kids come first, sucks I'm gonna miss the kids b-day party but I made this plan way before I met her that and she's stated I should go regardless cause she knows driving relaxes me alot.

Put the summer tires/wheels on the 8 today. Its always a good feeling. Hopefully we are done with the snow, but around here you never know.

Give it one or two more rain storms and the roads will be salt free. Then out comes the Beastly 7. Ohhhh good times are a comin'.

It looks like I'll need lunch for around 50!!! We'll need to confirm as close as possible by the weekend before the run (May 12) so I can plan food for the right number of folks. I don't want to cook for 30 then have 50 show or vice versa. Any special requirements (vegan, kosher, etc) will need to speak up early or live with the same gruel as everyone else.

That is so totally kewl!!!!!!!

Nice job on the spreadsheet, too!!! Thanks so much for that, it was a great idea!

This is going to be an awesome time!! It's not too late to join us, so if you've been reading the thread and thinking "Wish I'd seen this earlier", jump in! Sounds like there are still rooms available up in Lake Placid, and the more the merrier - really!!

I'll find a restaurant now that we have a pretty decent headcount to go by - 50 people!!! What a great group!!!!!! Looking forward to this run!!!

What route are you taking up to Brattleboro? I'm thinking we may merge with your caravan once you hit NH. So far nobody has said they will be meeting at Bow Jct. off I-89 and I-93, so if that's the case, I'd like to hook up with another group and caravan up.

Best route for you is 101/9 West to Keene/Brattleboro.

Well so far looking at Mapquest here is the route it says for me
95N to MA-2 W
MA-2 W through some odd turns till we hit 91N
From 91N to US-5 for Brattleboro.

The only worry is how MA-2 W is set up. If its like my local Rt.1 oi stop light after stop light is gonna be annoying as all hell.

MA-2 is pretty good from 95 to 91. Stop lights once in a while, and after some point, it clears up to be almost non-stop.

No. Was somebody else smart enough to bookmark the googlemaps? If not, I nominate someone else to dig it out of this thread! lol.

I was thinking of staying up there Friday night, but I haven't booked up the hotel yet.

I would be game for some nice beers in the area Friday night.

All the info you need for the Adirondack run...

Being the sucker for punishment that I am, and bored on a Monday night, I went through all 41 previous pages and found the following links:

Map of Route

Topographical Map of Route

Mendossa's Excel Spreadsheet

Saturday morning meeting point:
972 Putney Road
Brattleboro, VT 05201

Saturday Lunch meeting point:
24 Stark Road, Corinth, NY 12822

I would suggest printing this information out to have with you. The spreadsheet has all the contact numbers needed for the day of the run.

Does anyone know what time we will be arriving in Lake Placid Saturday night? This is important information as most hotels have a check-in time and if we are going to be getting there late (after 8pm) they like to know that ahead of time.

Can't believe this is less than a month away!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!

FYI, those maps are a little messed up. They go to NH and also that's not a topo map (you probably meant to link to the hybrid satellite). I think this is the most recent revision:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...62939&t=h&om=1

Another question about it: Do we still want to go through Lincoln Gap? We could trim 17 miles off the second day if we cut straight over to Texas Falls (but maybe Lincoln Gap is worth the extra distance?)

I was hoping someone would catch if those weren't the most accurate maps. I knew the map on the first page had been revised, but wasn't sure about the rest. And yes, I meant to link to the satellite. Thanks for the correction.

I don't know enough about the area to offer any suggestions about Lincoln Gap. There was a suggestion in the beginning to go to Ausable Chasm Sunday morning. I've talked to ppl who have been up there and they say it is awesome! Are we still planning to go there? The original plan was to spend a couple hours there.

Thanks, again.
