I ordered the nut that my car is currently missing. The tech wrote it down as "Front Passenger side balljoint lower nut missing." sucker is gonna cost me $14.25. Just sucks that I dont own a airgun so I'll have to have them install it, but atleast they'll have it documented I got it done. Unless some of you guys know that I can install this myslf with some hand tools.

Oh also does anyone know if the ignition coils are covered under powertrain warrenty? I'm out of the bumber to bumber. If all else I'll order them via onlinemazdaparts I'm not paying 53.69 per coil thru my dealer.

 

Well, considering my 8 isn't even modified, there's nothing to check. But anyway I'll be out of town that weekend. Have fun!!!!!!!!!

 

dude i paid like 98 or something for all 4 coils....the newer ones at that!.....as for the ball joint isnt that part of the recall?.....why are you paying if it is?....i thought the only loose nut in your car was between the seat and the steering wheel?

Small question/request. I was curious if anyone has a copy of the Rx-8 Service Manual in PDF form. I believe that is what I'm looking for. Just sick of looking on the site for DIY's on taking stuff apart for the car and I believe there is one floating around for the entire car but I'm unsure where to find it. That and it will help me later on when I'm attending UTI Going in on Thursday to enroll for the Mid November classes. After that its a year's worth of classes. Whoohoo..
