So I am sitting here not started on the motorcycle yet....

Tune up should take me all day:
Brake pads, oil change, clean air filters, lube all cables, possibly do the gear oil. Change the front fork seal. Also removing all the painted body panels and gas tank.

I'm thinking a burnt orange if I do paint it: something like this. Thoughts?

and I know mine won't look near that good... or even close... but you gotta learn somehow! Might as well be on a crappy looking motorcycle!

When are you planning on doing this? If over the next 2 weeks, I have to take them apart tomorrow. I have limited time this week before I leave. Thanks for doing this!!!

There was a post on the NORA forum about cleaning bugs, tar, cone marks, etc. form the car. I emailed Zaino about the post. Here's the post and what I got back:

NORA "WD-40 is the only thing I have found that is loaded with detergents that brake down almost anything that may get stuck to your paint that wont hurt your paint. I have tried some of the off the shelf bug and tar removers that work just as good as WD-40 but they also peel off your paints polish and wax which means after you cleaned, now you need to reapply the wax. WD-40 does not remove the wax and if it does, it is very very little. "

For removal of stubborn bug guts, bird droppings, tar, grease, etc....

Try Wd-40. Spray a little on the tar. Let soak for about 40 seconds
and remove with a clean dry 100% cotton towel. Repeat if necessary. Then
rinse with water to remove any oil residue from the Wd-40.

Repeated use of WD-40 will eventually hurt Zaino..

but once or twice will be fine...

Thank You,
Sal Zaino

There's also a post suggesting DOW Chem Scrubbing Bubbles and best wheel cleaner for tar and other crap.

I will say that those Scrubbing Bubbles are great. While I was cleaning the carbon of my engine rotor it worked better than the brake cleaner I was using.

Well the past couple hours have been eventful for me!

So I decided to get a new wireless router/card.
The Linksys was "tolerable", but random disconnects and daily network resets everytime I had my bridge network enabled made me think I can do better.
So I returned the router/card and got a D-Link DWA-552 PCI card and their DIR-655 router.
I wanted to go with the MIMO instead of the dual channel since I download a lot and long distance isn't an issue in my house.

So driving home and fighting the **** storm, my truck slid while making a turn, hit a curb, bent the wheel's lip on my front driver's side and punctured the tire!
I was REALLY pissed because I don't have the extra cash right now because of the move and can't afford a new tire and wheel at this time.
So I started calling around to different junk yards to see if they had a used one.
After calling a couple places and still no luck, I called my dad to see if his truck's tire is the same size and if he had a spare for it.
My dad asks me, "Doesn't your truck have a spare under the bed?"
So I run outside and sure enough... there was a spare tire.
I felt like such an idiot..........
I can't use my garage to change it out because its too small for my car and the truck, so I'll have to wait for the snow to stop and change it out.

On a better note.....
My D-Link setup works beautifully and was MUCH easier to setup than the Linksys.
I used to be a fan of Linksys, but this last encounter has put a stale taste in my mouth.
The biggest test is when I setup the bridge connection for my Xbox and watch some Podcasts.
If by tomorrow I still have internet and my wired connection to the Xbox (and not have to reset the bridge connection), I'll be happy.

Just use rubbing alcohol. It's better than anything else and doesn't contain any extra additives like WD40. Plus it's cheaper. Believe me after battling with sap all Summer long I've tried everything and rubbing alcohol worked best by far.

As for going out to Brunswick by myself (or with doc) it isn't gonna happen. It's still 30 minutes away from me.

Isn't the car being sold at a dealership? Pretty sure a few recommendations back I did say that the tires only works in dealerships. I had snow tires lined up when I was shopping for a new truck. They had them so they were gonna throw them in. But if it's not a stealership with 'em available than you're probably not gonna get far. Still a damn good negotiating angle since theres a good chance you're gonna go sliding as you leave the lot.

You should be really happy with that setup. Although I am not a fan of the firmware interface that they have on it. If you get stuck though let me know...I have the same one. No resets yet and no problems with drops like my old one. w00t w00t. Only setback was my nice 108mpbs wireless card in my laptop only does 54mpbs on this router. Ah well. Btw...for your xBox...just put them in your DMZ and be done with it. As far as I know there are no remote exploits for the xBox systems so you are safe...for now.

Truthfully... I like the interface better than the Linksys.
And I was able to upgrade the firmware unlike the Linksys.

I ended up scrapping the bridge network for my Xbox because when I bridged the two network devices, I couldn't access the internet with my PC.
So I went into my wired LAN and instead of my IP4 obtaining an IP automatically, I assigned it an IP for my other router.
Now I can get online with my wireless and FTP to my xbox wired.

Just make sure that when you do that you dump your config to a machine.

I have a networking degree and can explain the use of 3DNS and BigIP to handle automatic application failover in the event of a disaster and I have no idea what you said.

Does this help?

This is what I had to do so I could FTP to my Xbox (wired) and go on the internet (wireless).

Vex: I'd check your garage for rats, raccoons, or even small bears... cause SOMETHING has been chewing on yours rims.

(That is the proper part of the wheel to call the rim, right? Rim ****!)
