Reading that made me poop my pants!

Anyway, I sort of want a lighted LED switch for the purpose of being able to tell when the switch is in the on position when it is poorly lit... but I haven't decided yet.

Like any theft deterrents, it is only a deterrent, I know that most of these may only slow down a bandit for a matter of seconds. But it may just frustrate them enough to take the change out of your coin tray and leave without your car... But anyone who really wants the car is going to get it... even if its with a flatbed.

Jon or John: resident electronic guru's. Can you bounce over to the DIY program your own key thread and help me diagnose my remote problem? I'm thinking I purchased the wrong remote, but the key is good. Let me if you're feeling generous.

Ask your buddies with aftermarket rims.

I have a Mazda6 and I want Mazda 18's on it, and i like the rx-8 rims. I found a guy to sell them, but he never called me back.

Yup. No one that I know of except Devilboi has OEMs that aren't in use and he already said he's not going to sell them. Mine have track tires on them and unless you have a spare set of 17x9 Enkei RPF1s with new track rcomp hoosiers on them to trade it's really not going to be worth my time to think about moving them.

Come back in a year though when I've run through my set of Hoohoos and maybe I'll have moved on to smaller/lighter wheels.

Also they aren't rims - they're wheels.

Fine if you want to be technical they are wheels... Yeah I saw Devilboi's post saying he won't get rid of his. Oh well, thought I might get lucky.

There's a 40th anniversary for sale on craigs list, located in the Falls area

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/ctd/1013349113.html

manual. 7k miles. $22k

</random>

i love the wheels on these. wonder if i could get the guy to sell me / trade me his rims (lol sorry RK). I like the R3's darker metal finish though. But the style overall i think is just sexy.

There is a set of 40th's in the FS section. He wanted to unload them for the Mazda price so they are probably still out there.

Yeah I saw those, I'm looking to spend max $350 if local. Preferably around $300. Most people i think sell around $400 -500 shipped.

So my day just sucked
One of my packages were supposed to arrive today.
The website's tracking said that I wasn't home, but I've been up since 6am!
So I asked Ray what address he shipped it to, even though I posted a couple times what the address is.
Come to find out he shipped it to a house I lived at FOUR HOUSES AGO!
The neighborhood is between E Market and E Exchange.... no way I want that **** sitting out on the doorstep!
He told me that he couldn't intercept the coils that were shipped today, but I'm still waiting to hear if he got the other packages changed.

This sucks on so many levels!

You should be able to call UPS and set it up for pickup. Usually they'll do that with just a tracking ID and not the infonotice slip number. But you have to call. The site only lets you do it with the infonotice.

Oh and just think how much worse it would have been had they just left the package...

Yea...you can have packages held at the ups center for pickup prior to first delivery attempt. I recommend doing that.

What sucks is that some packages are coming UPS, some FedEX, and some USPS!

And Ray doesn't seem to be helping much.
Told me that he can't get the address changed.
Yet I just called FedEX and they said its no problem, the person who shipped it just has to call them!
Guess I just got a piece of BHR service

Those thing would be gone quicker than a set of rims at a Puff Daddy concert... I mean wheels.

Nope... i was driving in the median on 71 yesterday, couldn't have been me.

------------------------

Jon + Banned : I'll be at the shop tonight and tomorrow. Let me know when you're coming down so I can make sure I have my phone on me and perhaps be listening enough to answer it.

Also - after much discussion with a few of the professionals and reviewing the pictures - the solid weld on the clutch pedals is really over-kill. Looking at the design and the failure points, we think that a series of additional spot welds around the perimeter will improve the design enough to where there is no possibility of weld failure.

I changed one of Jon's pics to indicate where we're going to be welding the pedals. Remember, red is where the stock 2 spot welds are and the yellow circles are where we're planning to weld.
Basically, an additional weld at each corner of the bracket for each bolt 8-10 welds total vs. the stock 2.

Discuss...
