Yeah, it seems like the Hawks are a favorite around here.

I'm interested to see what people have to say about EBC pads. Anyone have any experience with them?

Yeah. They're fine for daily driving and they keep the wheels looking very clean. You can take them out on the track for light work on street tires and they'll survive but you'd have to take it relatively easy.

If you're doing track pads you can't beat mine. Cobalt Friction XR2/XR5s. It's phenominal how different my car is with those and rcomps on.

It's not my place. It's my mom's where I keep the car for the winter. I'm house/dog sitting for a week which is why I'm planning on getting so much done. Plus I have the garage all to myself so I don't have to try to wedge myself against the walls everytime I need to get into the driver seat.

And since it's a house I'm sure you can use the outhouse or something to change. You do know tho that we might be done way before dinnertime, right? Probably not but ya never know.

That shirt is an ebay special. just search for it. "RX8 Shirt"

Jon came down today and, as usual, pretty much did everything for me because I am still very slow... kill switch, clutch welded, and heater control got fixed.

I honestly think I may have gotten rid of this car if it weren't for Jon. So: seriously awesome.

Well, see you guys tomorrow at Ryans. RX8 party.

UGH! I'm going to be late tomorrow. Sometimes I really hate some of my friends.

Steve - I assume that you no longer need my soldiering iron?

The garage is "semi heated" according to Ryan. *shrug* Sounds like heated by coffee and Brian's farts.

Yesterday (2/22) I was driving from Ann Arbor to Cleveland. I stopped at a service plaza along the turnpike and parked my galaxy gray 8 off in the corner away from the hoards. when I came out there was another gray 8 parked right next to mine. Gave me a good laugh to see two sweet cars parked away from everyone else. thought this might be one of you guys. the car had gray Konig wheels.

Most of us were wrenching on a car, or at least watching, yesterday. We only have 2 Galaxy Gray 8's and they are both garaged for the winter. Enjoy your stay in our whited out city though. :P

Thanks Doc for picking up the coils for me. How did the dinner go? Another crazy that needs to be told "next"?

How did the rest of the installation go Sunday ? Which were easier? the backs or the fronts? Did you ever get to wiring in the temp gauge?

-----------------------

Do we have a final list for the autoshow next weekend?

Wait you have a GG Shinka? I didn't know they made those. Thought the Shinka's only came in Black Cherry and that Copper color.

On top of what John said I don't think I know of anyone around here with Konig's either. Musta been another traveler.

PS. Ann Arbor is a *****.

Just from watching Steve I would say that the fronts had to have been easier. Just the whole fighting to get it into the bolt holes from the bottom had to be retardedly complicated. Also wookie powers were needed on the rears and we didn't need those on the front so I will say the back sucked. :P

From looking at the rear, they looked like they would be more of a pain to line up just by having the upper strut tucked into the trunk. Or well, I learned a thing or two. . . 13B = 13B = Renesis (sometimes, but not always)

I did like the torque quote: "if you want to add torque to an RX8, get some pistons."

On an unrelated note. I'm talking to the guy with the used mazsport pipe... I am thinking I will just get it. I rode in Jon's car on Saturday and it sounds just so much better. I would wait for the RB or corksport, but I think those will be 400+ when you add shipping. Plus with the mazsport, I know I'll be getting what I want.
I know I said I wouldn't spend more money on this... but I guess that is incentive to get my taxes completed.

John - did you do your own taxes which bought you a new exhaust?
