loud midpipes can definitely be motivating to get them fixed. I'm thinking tint will be my first project of the spring... as in, as soon as it's insured to hit the road, it's going for tint.

ahh gotcha. So you want a deeper note instead... not necessarily louder.

For a deeper note I put my seal of approval on the rp supercat.

Vyndictive: Is your 8 an auto? I swear I've seen it a few times on the Strip.

Nope... not an auto... I'd say my most noticeable mods are the silver fender vents, non stock winter wheels, and rear "fog" light. Normally is absolutely filthy also.

My drive home is up 77, and then taking portage into north Canton. I try to stay away from the strip as much as I can because of the traffic. I was there on Sunday night buying ice cream at Giant Eagle... mm, Ben&Jerry's

Haha! He called your 8 and auto. First you get called out for having a Honda exhaust and now this. Next thing you know Megz is going to be asking you for shopping tips and John will have already ordered you a Virgin Margarita with an Orange Slice before you sit down at a meet.

here's shitty video from me. Had the camera set to 160 x 120, not 640 x 480. You can hear it first hand on Saturday at the autoshow though.

Stock cat back with the AP dual resonated midpipe:

Oh, and I take it I can't embed video here?

Startup:

A quick rev:

I wonder who owns that one I always see then....

No big deal, thought it could have been yours as it looked moderately modded.

Looks like someone was trying to make some flames.

Sounds pretty good. Racy. Bet it gets pretty loud over 5k but it's not obnoxious on startup/revving.

Has kind of a 'tinny' sound to it that gets away from the base note I like but I'd put it somewhere between the Borla and Stock for sound. And of course yours actually performs better.

You're gonna be pissed when you have to put the cat back on to run STX.

Yeah, I definately want to get it a little deeper, but I am happy with it for now. I just hate how quiet these cars are with a completely stock setup. I can actually kinda hear the exhaust now.

Surprisingly it's not too loud over 5k, but I've also been driving with the windows up since the temps haev been below freezing since I have put it on.

As for swapping out the cat/midpipe for autocross, it really won't take that long to do. The biggest pain in the *** in the rubber exhaust hanger (I hate those things). Plus if I accidentally leave it on for an event I doubt anyone would care.

Depends entirely on whether or not your PAX beats mine...

Danc/jem I invited you guys to the regional 'social group' on this site that has info on where we're meeting for the auto show. We just use that whenever we post up meet info (and meet pics) since it's kinda useless for anything else.

We've been kinda staying around South Cleveland/North Akron with spots like Brecksville, Macedonia, etc. for meets but aside from some get togethers to work on a car we haven't done too many meets in the Winter. It'll pick back up next month.
Thanks for the invite!

I don't mind driving so where ever is good with me as long as I don't work.

Hey Brian or Jon...I was thinking about doing the exhaust this weekend either Friday or Saturday before the autoshow. Either of you free or want to do it this weekend? Should be nice and warm.

I work Thur night/Fri morning so I would be a zombie.
And doing it before the auto show would be pushing it.
Anxious to show it off

Jon and Brian were the ones that volunteered to do the work for me...but everyone is invited of course. I don't work Thurs - Sat so I was just trying to cram it in while we had some warm weather as the box in the dining room is getting annoying already. So whatever time works best for you guys is the time we will do it. Thurs morning I have a cable install, Thurs evening we are going to catch The Watchman, Fri I am pretty sure is free and Sat is the car show. Where things fall while it is 50 beyond that is up to you guys. The car is up on stands in the garage and you guys said you didn't need any extra room or anything to get it done so that is where I was going to leave it. However as Brian said after working at Ryan's I would recommend you bring a creeper as I don't have one. Tools are kinda sparse but I have enough to get the job done. No compressor though so it will all be by hand.

Who needs a stupid creeper... you just didn't want to get your back dirty John
I'll bring over some tools... especially the breaker bar (which your car may not be that bad).
Friday night would be the best for me.
You'll have to PM me your address.

Do what you want bud... I'm just picking on you.
But I'm not planning on bring one, so Brian (or whoever else comes) can bring one if they want.

Nope... you hurt my feelings... now I'm not coming.

Maybe I'll show up and shoot you guys with an airsoft gun. I'd make sure to bring your breaker bar for sure... and no way will I be able to do any damage without a 100lbs tank of propane and compressed oxygen. (Unless I lose your bolts into a snow drift or something)

(I'm not actually mad, just busy friday, just so you know... sarcasm is hard to pick up online)

Don't know if you've all seen the updated FAQ thread. There's a little more info there now.

NEWBIES. This is especially good for you. Like the question the other day about milky oil.
