Good to see you all tonight.

I'm sure none of you are surprised and I already warned Steve before-hand, but I disassembled his intake manifold.
The manifold was delivered without the APV valves installed, so I went ahead and installed them.

I have some carb cleaner so I'll give it a good soak before reinstalling everything.
Then I plan on making the video showing how to troubleshoot the VDI, SSV, and APV valves along with the VFAD one I made before.

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure:

Yes...good to see everyone again. Twuz fun and I will have the picts posted tomorrow. After yall left I went back inside to take a leak. Came back out and where Tom was parked was a Yellow 8. I sat there for a little but nobody came back to the car. *shrug* I tried to take a picture with my cell to prove it but it just came out black.

You said that was what was making that squealing noise.

no... I said its the idle gear (known as gear rollover).
A bad throw-out bearing would make more noise when you push in the clutch pedal.
Remember I asked him to push in the pedal and the noise went away?
That basically narrowed it down and ruled out the throw-out bearing.

Had a great time last night everyone.

One thing I did just notice on my car though.... I had two stamps on my tires that weren't there before. The number "60" in a circle on both passenger side tires. Weird....

I don't know if it could have just been there from when they made the tires, or it's just new from last night from the popo. Maybe some of you guys can check to see if you have that stamp too.

Either way, made it home without incident.

hey i know a couple of us talked about this last night but would anyone know how to take the factory navigation out and put in a new cover with the three gauge pod in place of it? cuz i would probably not have a clue when it came to any wiring like that.

yea...shouldn't be that hard. You have to pull the radio and then the top dash comes off with a couple screws and some clips.

It was nice to get together last night with everyone. Sorry I couldn't stay late.

Megan, I'm going to pass on the wheels. Thanks for showing them to me, though.

Any word on if we're putting in another brake fluid order, Doc?

Worked on Replacing Machiavellis brake fluid and bleeding my brake lines.

The speed bleeders made a huge difference. No magic to them. But they did make it easier.

When I did Tom's I left a lot of air in the line and had to go back and rebleed all 4 wheels. I didn't have that problem with mine.

The clutch bleeder was very easy if you lay across the engine compartment and look down in at it. We tried from underneath and couldn't reach. We tried from the side but couldn't turn the wrench.

Steve- I cleaned the intake manifold valves and started on the manifold itself, but ran out of Carb Cleaner.
I'll pick some up in the morning and finish the manifold.

Once we pull your manifold out, might be a good idea for you to give it a good cleansing and make it look nice.
That way you can sell it and hopefully make a profit unless you want to keep it for some reason.

Hello
How often do you all meet?
Unfortunately I have been out of town for a couple of weeks and have not been able to keep up with the posts. I live in Medina and would like to join the club.

Welcome to the club!
We actually just had a meet this past Friday, so we haven't scheduled the next one yet.
I know that some are doing autox pretty soon if you want to stop by and meet some of us.
Not sure when or where it is so I'll leave that to someone else to answer.
