The car came with a really nice set of Falken wheels in gunmetal, that I will use for street driving. They are 19s so I can use them for racing.

I really like the wheels on the 08. Not shiny, but cool. You're close enough, stop by anytime and I'll show'em to you. Just PM me and I'll we'll arrange a time.
I think I'm locked in for th 6th so we can just talk about it then. I'm in no real hurry. I do know someone who works selling wheels/tires (used to work for Kumo but now I think he's elsewhere doing the same thing) so eventually I'll get to see a full spread. I keep trying to see every pic of a green with AM wheels to see how the colors work but way too many people fail to say what wheels they have when they're showing off the pics.

And if you've ever shopped Tirerack click on the car view and then change the color of the 8 to 'Nordic Green'. It's the farthest thing from NG I've ever seen. Completely worthless.

I think I'd go in a slightly different style direction but I might be interested in them as race wheels depending on their weight. Take your time finishing with them.

Afraid of a little rain..........Or just too squeamish to see all those cones getting killed. I took out 3 in one run! They told me be three inches off the cone, I thought they said kill 3 cones...............

Actually turned out to be a great day! We got 10 runs each. Between last weekend and this, I think I've already run a full season...

The rain ended here at about 9:30 and the track was dry by about 10:45. From there on out it was smooth sailing....... Not really. I, too, killed a few cones.

All in all the weather cooperated. It could have been a little warmer, though.

I don't believe I got any cones but then again I wasn't cutting it nearly as close as you guys, I was satisfied to take my slaloms extra wide and early as Doc pointed out at the end. It might've slowed me down but I got to kick my rear end out quite a bit more since i was taking them so wide rather then cutting them close.

RK what if you tried turning the tint down on your monitor. I agree with you that they didn't do a good job with their car paint choice, but maybe you could substitute it with turning down your tint or contrast to create an artificially right color?

RK: I would also try messing with photoshop to get the color right with that car and then using photoshop to layer the wheels on. If you want I can help you with that at some point. Heck...maybe we can send the info in to TireRack when we are done so they can get their **** fixed.

Tony: I wasn't trying to make an uneducated review of your choice or the part. My opinion is that if I were shopping for lowering springs...I would want something that was noticeably lower. Mark and I sat there and actually debated whether or not your car was lowered at all. Driving wise they probably are really great springs and do a really great job. Thought I had told tiresmoker to talk to you about them though for a better review...mah bad.

And just because I am a good sport...

Thanks. Thanks a lot..... I just spent the past five minutes trying to figure out how to change the tint and contrast on the monitor on my laptop.

My wife looked over from her computer and was like "What the hell are you doing??" I probably did look pretty retarded with my nose practically touching the keyboard, trying to find the correct function keys.

Calling them "weak", then, was probably not a good choice of words. It's all good, though. I got it off my chest.

That's how us Italians are. Either we say what's on our minds and get it off our chest, or......we kill you. Out of respect for the rest of the group, I decided not to choose the later.

BTW, the pictures turned out really nice! I think I'm going to have some printed out and framed.

Like I said I'm not too worried about it since I've got a while to make my final decision regarding wheels. But I'll probably end up just getting a real pic of my car, size it to the pic you see there, and then photoshop (well Paint.net ) on the wheels I'm thinking of buying. Plus since I'll likely end up buying local I'll probably be able to see the wheels in person before pulling the trigger.

Pretty confident I'll end up either gun metal or bronze. Just thinking 18s that are lighter than stock and leave room for some lowering. But like I said I've got a while before deciding.

BTW - saw an 8 driving on 82 at the 21 intersection tonight. Think it was a cherry red Shinka but coulda been black. Sun was behind me so it was tough to pick up. Younger driver and had out-of-state plates on it.

Nothing wrong with 18s. Just want a lot lighter and a slightly different look. I'm not planning anything dramatic and this isn't a show car. I'm sure they won't be 18x8 50 but I won't get too far away from a sizing that lets me look at a decent range of tires and lets me adjust my car without screwing with the fenders.

I might be convinced to go to 19s when I sit down with my tire guy and walk through what I'm looking at doing with this car but I doubt he'd push me away from 18s. Hell if anything I'm worried he'll try to convince me to go smaller.

Probably me. Unless it was being driven at a high rate of speed. Then definitely not me.

Heading out to Lime Rock this weekend to watch the Rolex series. Those of us with stock vehicles have a bit more time on our hands.

Sorry i'm still on a desktop so it is real easy for me I just hit the buttons on the monitor (Which probably weighs as much as 8 of your laptops) Hope you were able to get it back to correct settings after you were done.

I believe I'm the only black cherry mica shinka in the area. If I can ever get out of the ER I'd like to actually meet some of u guys, especially u beth. you seem to be the "speedracer" in the group. gopherage I'm free most days because I work midnights so u can stop by anytime.

I tried using that website to see what my car would look like but the colors are so off lol. So I just photoshopped it because i'm pretty good at it.

I just bought black rims I can show you a pic on my Nordic Green when I get em on! They are probably gonna arrive sometime next week.
