Good job yesterday everyone, sorry I couldn't stay.

Anyway I just swapped the plugs and no real change =( Time to try the coils.

Yeah. Fun to get back out on the course. I was the second car out in the morning with cold tires and spun on what was really the second turn. Pretty funny.

Got lost on the last run too or else that woulda been my best time. Still probably wouldn't have been as fast as Megs. I was hoping to have that one week where my car mighta had an advantage over Brians but then he goes and gets a nice pimped out suspension and takes away my one advantage. Once the cars got even (well his is probably all-round better set up with their wheels/tires) I didn't have a chance. Maybe in a couple more times out I'll get down a little closer.

Danc - did you actually test my coils to be sure they're kosher or are you just swapping them in?

Tires were most definitely cold yesterday, felt bad for the single driver cars... Ryan, by chance did you know you're leaking some oil? Looked like you had a decent spot on the ground.

lol. Yeah I've known it for the past month+ but about 5 people noticed it yesterday. I had enough on the ground I walked over and warned Dan because he parked in my spot for the second run group. Probably was leaking in Florida too (Brian even noticed it when we were changing out my suspension). Looks like my prosport oil adapter sucks. It doesn't leak normally but anytime I get some spirited driving in she starts a slow drip. I thought I could make it better when I changed my oil before Nelson's but if anything it seems a little bit worse.

I ordered an RB adapter last night. Should be able to swap it out this weekend or next.

Tested, seem ok. At least they aren't dying yet. Swapped them in, same issue as before. However, one of the two things did help while driving. My idle is still messed up though. This is really starting to bother me, I'm running out of ideas.

Edit: Tested my coils, they are alright it seems, so likely that plug wire helped. I better start looking for vacuum leaks.

RacingBeat just put out their waiting list for a DR midpipe. Safe to say I'm on the list. Looks like I'm the first one to find it too so I should be near the top.

When do you guys think it's worth it to worry about vibration and motor mounts? Aside from the standard shift ****, I am noticing a bit in the drivers seat. It's not really bad, and I don't get it anywhere else. Is a little seat vibration pretty standard?

Well I had an eventful afternoon.
I was sitting on the couch watching TV when there was a familiar scent in the air.
Being a former firefighter, I could tell that it wasn't a typical wood-burning backyard fire.
It definitely had that familiar stale "multi-scent" to it.

So I ran outside to see smoke coming out of a house two houses down.
A cop car pulled-up and another officer starting to knock-out the windows.
I heard the firetrucks coming down the road, so I ran to my truck to get it out of the road.

Here was the scene from my front window:

And here is a shot from the side of my house:

If you look at the passenger's side motor mount and see its cracked, then I would definitely worry.
It occurs on the passenger's side because of the heat from the exhaust manifold.
The material of the motor mount rubber has been upgraded.

Vibration can also be from faulty spark plugs, wires, or coils, but you may also tend to receive a CEL at high RPMs (or more likely to receive one at high RPMs).

There sure is a particular ode to that I will admit and it is one that puts goose-bumps on my arms. I never want to smell that again. No urges to run over and help out though?

LOL... I wanted to, but I know the cop wouldn't let me even if I told him I was a firefighter.
In their eyes its not worth risking a citizen's life, specially since I'm not insured by the city of Akron.
If there was someone still in the building and we knew the fire trucks weren't going to be there for a couple minutes, then that's a different story.
But they were quick to respond and I didn't have any business being in their way.
I'll admit, I do miss it though.

House fire when I was like 8. Everyone was ok and nothing was lost...but it brings back some memories that are not pleasant. Being within 5' of a house fire while minding your own business inside is not cool.

Thanks. Even at that age it was an eye opening experience that I am glad I had. Things really couldn't have turned out better with the fire still happening. Fire was out before the fire department arrived and there was only damage to a very small section of the house. For anyone wondering...the fire was caused by my dad emptying the ashes of a wood burning stove into a trash can instead of a proper fire pail. He thought that everything was cold after 2 days but it was enough to melt the plastic trash can and ignite something that was in it. Next day we had a fire pail that was stored behind the fireplace...and when anything was burned the previous weak it goes outside when anything goes in it.

DB, that's got to be a terrifying experience for a young kid. Glad it's all OK.

How is it with the neighbors Jon? Hope everyone was safe.

Everyone is OK and nobody got hurt.
The Red Cross came right away to help and a construction company boarded-up the windows.

In this neighborhood the tall grass is the least of concern
Might be useful to have for a drive-by

lulz

I'm picturing the movie "Friday" right now and Ice Cube and Chris Tucker ducking behind a tree when the Mustang is driving down the street.

Mark, I just noticed on axtime that you placed 9th overall in RAW time Good work buddy!

Tnx Brian:

I felt schizophrenic: I was ecstatic at beating JP for the first time.

But Ki So took me out behind the woodshed in my own car.
