After all those videos came out with the RB midpipe I was scared...I didn't want it to be all raspy and stuff. I am so happy with the tone though. Even on the highway at speed it was no louder than the stock cat which was nice. Cabin noise actually seems lower for some reason. *shrug* We def. need to do the video...may just make a special trip down next week to do that if you're free. Mad props to RB for recreating the Mazsport pipe so well.

I'm up for that John.
Maybe I'll bring home some heat resistant wire jackets so I can "shim" my exhaust tips out and not have them rattle.
The jackets are installed in our reflow ovens where the temps go up to 260 degrees Celsius, so it should be alright for my exhaust.
And TJ... not a bad catch you had there![Boink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/boink.gif)
Especially a girl who likes cars... can't go wrong there.
Hopefully this one works out better for you than the last.

Figure if we can work something out where I can come down early enough we could do a bunch of videos in and out or something. I dunno. I really do want to play hide the RB midpipe though.

That comparison could really help him or really hurt him though. With all the time and money already spent on something that he is building to what he wants I don't know if he will want the info. *shrug* We can always offer though.

John: Yeah.. I must say, RB did a very good job. It has the sound of the mazsport (slightly better perhaps) using smaller resonators and allow you to keep your cross supports.
Like Jon said though... Its not a big enough difference that I would change from the mazsport. Also, I like the mazsport rear gasket better.![Eyetwitch](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/eyetwitch.gif)
But, I will say this: I remember putting on the Mazsport pipe for the first time when I had my RB catback still and going "damn it, that is not what I was expecting."
Catless midpipe plays a huge role in the exhaust note and tone... but never discount the catback and the roll it plays. As Jon and I, and now John can tell you, its about the combination of midpipe with catback.
TJ: hope you liked your smoke show! Car should idle smoother and get slightly better throttle response with the seafoam through the engine+fuel system. I know my bike liked the left overs!![Yumyum](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/yumyum.gif)
Lastly; better watch out for Jon around your new girl, he seemed to really be impressed with that flashlight.
Ok, time to drop the driver seat into the Bronco and start heading to the "west side" to look at those tools. See you in a few.
Chance of rain: 80%, strong storms.

Bring a tent if you, or your lady, have one TJ. Might keep you dry as there is only one pavilion on the grounds and it is normally full of pplz. Hopefully the weather scares ppl off the beach though.
