I'm pretty exhausted right now... taking a quick break.
Getting dirty cleaning reflow ovens and having sticky solder flux all over yourself doesn't make the time better.

Then on my way home I have to stop by Autozone to purchase a rocker switch.
I know I mentioned that I got my lawnmower running, but when I started it and got out the garage door, it stalled and would start.
So I took the carburetor apart and gave it a good clean, still didn't start.
I remove the spark plug and tied it to the muffler to check for spark... no spark.
I purchased a new spark plug and tried again... no spark.
I set the coil/magneto gap to 0.035" and tried again... no spark.
I then removed the ground from the coil... and finally a spark!
So basically, the kill switch was constantly grounding the coil as if the stop bar was never engaged.
So I'm going to wire the ground to a rocker switch so I can just turn off the mower with a flip of the switch
Who needs that stop bar safety feature anyway?
It'll be nice to have the ability to walk around the mower to pick-up loose sticks without having the mower shut off!

I'll just remove the muffler and toggle the throttle to shoot flames out

Why on earth would you escalate it to a claim? They already said they were giving you your money back.

+1... the rules already favor you. Honestly, who cares if he says **** on the forum. You didn't scam him, you sold the product to the best of your knowledge and at a fair price based on what you thought they were and what you paid.
Paypal is on your side.

I might be getting into a fight with autozone about the red top i bought for the bronco. I haven't gone in there yet, but I anticipate them trying to make me go through the manufacturer. pain in the ***.

Also, in prepping the bed for the Herculiner kit, I discovered further rust holes... damn 14 year old trucks. I think I'll post some pics here at the end of today if anyone cares, which I doubt they do.

When you buy/sell an item, you get graded.
Click on the trade score number to get a summery on how he got that score.
You will probably get a score soon... a -1

oh man i probably will, damnit. why did they have to come up with those trader scores right as this happens. at least with a bad guy thread people might not check it and i can voice my opinion in it to show what really happened, but thats gonna suck if i get a bad score

If you can present your case and the mods agree that you aren't in the wrong, they might be able to remove that.
I guess you'll have to wait and see what happens.

So I finally had time to review the footage from the video shoot...
The drive by shots were alright... except John kept letting off early again.
But the worst was the side-by-side revving.
John's AP cat-back appears to have some loose rivets now because it was rattling like crazy whenever he was revving his car
Funniest part was listening to a stock RX8 revving after just hearing three modified 8s!
Too bad I can't use this video.

There is no way I let off early...I was shifting basically into second 50' - 100' in front of you and going all the way through second gear before lifting. And as for the rattle...that is that noise that Steve said was the muffler against the frame. You guys said there was nothing you could do about it.

The rattle sure sounded like how mine did with the loose rivets.

Updates on the part out. Here's how it's gone so far. Let me know if I've missed anyone.

And TJ just let the whole thing go. Don't worry if your trader score gets knocked down one. Hell just buy my duct/intake and it'll be right back at 0.

That black one sounds pretty good. Did Graham ever show up on here?

So you're telling me you want to re-shoot the video?

Ryan: I was thinking about your part out a bit, and, if you'd like like, because of the number of car getting something and the fact that you're going to need to install some of their stock parts, would you like to come down to the shop in Canton one Satruday with like Brian and I to do the swaps? We'd have ample room for all 3 cars to be on stands.
Plus that puts Brian here to help with a spring compressor. *Boing* . . .

Just an idea.

That might work but it'll depend on a couple things - not the least of which will be driveability of my 8 as it gets picked apart.

as long as you bring along all of your stock parts that you have hung onto you will be fine. :P
