How is the noise there?
Is it easy to hear neighbors?
I have a 1000W surround sound system and I don't want to bother everyone.
I plan on meeting the people below me to let them know if the TV is too loud to come up and let me know.

Since Steve is out golfing still. He said temps stayed around 180 all day but did spike up to 210 at one point.

Turn the subwoofer off :P

Its not terrible, but it depends on how loud you run your setup.

We used to have issues with the people below us and playing loud music a lot, but it was all due to them keeping the bass turned way up. They ended up getting evicted for having like 10 people living in a 2br apt haha

I kept a pretty close eye on temps. Even glanced at them during a run while yelling "KRISTEN! KEEP YOUR ARM IN THE CAR!"

Friday, cruising at 72mph, coolant was at 176-180. Oil temp 175. Ambient temp, 74.

Autocross: Ambient temps were around 67. Cooler helps
Run 1: Coolant: Pre-run: 180. Post run 205.
Oil: Pre-run: 170. Post run 200.

Run 4: Coolant: Pre-run: 190. Post Run 210. (Highest of the day)
Oil: Pre-run: 200. Post Run 210. (highest again)

Overall, it performed very well. Felt confident in the car to cool itself, though I was boiling over a lot of fluid trying to bleed the system. Appears completely fine now.

Steve - didn't make it on Sunday (obviously) but hopefully you got the brakes and cover.

And anyone still interested in stuff here's what's left from the car. Ben's in line for the Enkies but hasn't committed. The intake combo is still there as well.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...OcHVkTWc&hl=en

I'll move on to the FS forum in the next couple weeks.

That I did... give me your address so I can send a check.

Looks like you've made good progress on the part-out. I bet anything else will sell on the forums.

Im sure Jason and Patrick would be more than happy to give you pointers on race lines for MidOhio and driving technique suggestions if you were nice to them.

Lemons Race - October 3rd+4th - Meet?

All:

I don't know if you've all heard of this, but there is a Lemons race at Nelson Ledges Oct. 3rd and 4th.

http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/events/lamestday09/

The premise is race a 500 dollar car as hard as you can as long as you can. I've never been to one, but I would love to enter a car someday.

25 bucks a ticket. Figured I would post on here and see if there was any interesting in going to this probably hilarious event.

Price is a little misleading. Reality is most people sell a cheap car to a friend for "$500" and then people put a few thousand in safety features (roll cages, brakes) and tires (comps able to go 24 hours). Still pretty hard to find a car that runs for $500.

Usually $300-500 per driver (if they already have their helmets/suits) gets you through it depending on the car and how many drivers/pit guys you have.

I am definitely interested in going there. Should be a lot of fun and at Nelsons there are going to be some serious wrecks. Bucks play Indiana Saturday night and Browns play Bungles at home at 1 on Sunday. And I think they still run their 24 as 2 12 hour races. They run 12 hours, take a break to sleep, and then run 12 hours. No idea if the ticket covers both days or not.

Take from Lemons website:

The 24 Hours of LeMons travels to the famous Nelson Ledges road course for a non-stop 24-hour enduro. All passes are good for the whole weekend. A complete schedule can be viewed here: http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/events/lamestday09/

So, 25 bucks for the whole weekend, but it sounds like a proper 24 hr race because it said all this stuff about having proper headlights and such.

I looked into this for a bit today, and your costs are about right, Ryan.

That is a busy Sunday though.
Browns game (i have tix). . .
Autocross Points event #11 too.

Watched a few youtube videos of this... it is slow, but still looks fun.

Are the bolts used in the exhaust system (midpipe, cat, exhaust) different from "normal" bolts? In other words, do I need to go buy something special? Curious if the high heat requires something special.

Doc: they're normal bolts, however, if you're buying new hardware, its worth the extra couple bucks to buy stainless steel nuts+bolts.

Yea...Jon may also have the size of the standard nuts and bolts as well. I think he kept the extras in the bags from when we did my midpipe.

I know the 6 club is meeting at the Quaker Steak in Coventry this weekend... friday I think, but I don't think I'm going to that.

Sept 18th works for me. Now comes the part we struggle with the most... location. . . . . .

Just throwing this out there... neverbeen to this location, but the other ones are good...
On Tap Bar and Grill
3997 Medina Rd, Akron, OH‎

More in fairlawn, right off 77, by summit mall.

(I don't know if they have Guinness, but I would assume they do)

Actually that'd be a pretty good bar to meet but I'd suggest the one in Montrose over the one in Medina. They're both off rt18 but the one in Montrose is off 77 and 18 so it's a little easier for everyone to get to. There's an outdoor patio linked with the parking lot though I'm not sure if you could get a real big party into there.

Parking lot is pretty big (shared with an Acme grocery store) but it gets kinda crowded on Friday nights. Not enough bars in Montrose. Oh and fair warning they have Karoeoke.

And Doc there's a Stricklands right next door if you bring the pit crew.
