1. Steve +1 (probably)
2. Doc
3. Brian
4. TJ
5. Megan
6. Jonathan (should be able to make it)
7. Mathew
8. Ryan (50/50)
Jon the car actually just got off stands on Monday. Hadn't had a chance to work on it for a couple weeks between finally getting my condo on the market, weddings, and football season starting back up. Got the fluids in, found a nut that could keep my rear sway attached (M10 1.25 btw Brian), cobbled together enough black fasteners for the body panels to get the front bumper on, put the vyn/streets wheels on, and put the intake back on. She started up fine and ran up to temp but I didn't drive her just yet (want to check the fluids again). Will go back on Saturday to Zaino her and then will put her on the market.
I think I'm going to put the pod/dash part up alone for trade and see if I can just get an OEM piece or $70 (price of a new new one) this week. I'm going to hold off offering or selling the gauges. If someone wants to work something out for the pod and the gauges I want to be able to go that route. But if they just want the pod then I'll be able to sell you the gauges if you'd want 'em. If not I'm sure someone on the board would be interested.
I'm putting the Intake combo on next week as well. And I have to call Ben to see if he still wants the wheels/tires. If he doesn't then those will go up as well. Oh and the Mazdaspeed shift ****. Kinda surprised nobody here wanted that.
BTW I totally forgot to include my Fumoto Valve on the FS list. Just took it off last night. Probably needs a new crush washer but if anybody wants that it'll be $20 and I can bring it to the meet if I go. Makes oil changes easy.

Dirt
Doc:
Here is the dirt at #11 I mentioned. Looks like a lot of folks use this spot also.
It is much smoother than you might think and the car stays very stable and balanced when you come down into the valley. It is also a VERY FAST line through here.

Things are going pretty good besides the busy schedule. My next day off from work/class is Nov. 13th and that's making life a little rough. I feel pretty bad that I haven't been able to get together with the group but I'll try to make up for it next summer. I'm dying to autox or do a funday. Turning the RX8 into a daily driver hasn't been a pleasure either. Cleveland traffic and potholes are bumming me out....
I read a while back about a split up between you and the woman. I'm sorry to hear about it. I haven't read back since then, so I'm not sure of the present status. I just hope you're doing ok.

Nelson's Friday Fun days / cars & coffee
Any of you going to Nelson Friday, Sep 18th? I'm thinking of going before swapping back to winter brakes.
Also, do any of you go to the cars & coffee events on Saturday morinings at Quay 55 on Lake Erie? I believe they are every other Saturday.

Optical:
This was one spot I would usually look at the speedo.
I was very inconsistent at the end of the back straight. I would most often be at about 114-118, but if I got a bad run out of the keyhole it could be as low as 108-111. The fastest run out I got I saw 128.
If you put a pro driver in the car, they would always be over 125 I am sure. I am still a rookie.
Sorry this is not more helpful. But that "keyhole" is the key to fast times at the end.

Warning
PLEASE do NOT take these speeds as gospel. These are not from a data acquisition system!
What does that mean? It means that I looked down and remembered the speed I was going at a point on the track when I had a second to look down! They are NOT SCIENTIFIC. If I was within a second or two from the point I think I was, these could vary wildly. Do not forget!
This is anecdotal info, not scientific!

I do miss the RX-7 Turbo II and the WRX. The turbo rush in those cars was definitely nice.

I'd still like to see the video. You can send it to me at mark@drdomo.com.
I'm sure hesitant to go onto dirt intentionally. I can think of a lot of bad things that could happen. But I'm not an authority by any means.
I really don't know my speeds. And my last trip down there was with the clogged cat, so I was slow all day.
Can't help you there.
