Don't worry about that... I'm sure I can borrow larger stands from the same people I did when we pulled my transmission.
I would really like a few people there to help make this go quicker so we're not doing this all night.
And don't forget that you'll need 2qts of transmission fluid since we need to drain that.
And stay away from Royal Purple brand.

Then your friend is an idiot.
But I'm willing to throw him under there and let him hold it up while we align it.
The tranny might be a little light, but laying under there trying to hold it up and align it for an extended period of time wears you out fast.
You can ask Steve (Vyndictive) about that when we tried it on my car.

Hes used to working on mustangs, plenty of room. Tried to explain to him that there isn't much room under my car.

Well, read most of this on the phone...

I would be down for coming out to brians and learning about pisston engines. Sounds fun.

The clutch install was difficult. Alignment issues and just many many steps. Removing exhaust, drive shaft, etc.
A transmission jack is very nice since its a pain in the *** to get everything back in. Try holding a half gallon of milk in your fully out stretched arms. It like that feeling.

Lastly, I placed 2nd in STX today!

Man, yesterday was fun. If I would have been able to get the damn tires to heat up in the morning I may have done better on that course. Stupid cold pavement and 60 degree air

Good work everyone yesterday.

And lastly, a picture or two of Steve going fast:

Congrats Steve, you finally beat me

So what is the story? You buying Jon's old part or ordering something different? Sure its the clutch and not a serious transmission problem? (I've never had a clutch go out on me, so I don't know)

From what I gathered he wanted me to bring all my clutch parts so we can change them out if we notice something damaged.
Then figure out a price from there.
We can check the bearings and see if they need swapped.
The pilot bearing doesn't need to be pulled to check it and I would recommend not removing it unless you plan on replacing it.

If this Saturday would be better for everyone (it will for me since I'm now typing this with only 2 hours of sleep) we can schedule for it then.
I work that night, but if we have a few other people there to help finish things up, I'll feel comfortable with leaving it for you guys to finish.
When we did my clutch and flywheel, we started about 9am and finished roughly at 3pm so with enough people we can probably do it before I work.

Let me know what works best for everyone and who is all interested in participating.

I'm free Saturday to do that, but that was also my day to install the new rear sway & endlinks and swap to ryan's old Ceramic pads. (yeah, haven't done that yet.)

So I'm in as long as we can get to my car too!

Maybe we can get a few of us all together to have an install day.
Hopefully Brian is available to help out too.
Just remember that I work that night.

I remember a solid 45% of the steps involved. I'm sure we can get it knocked out in less time. We just have to work and bring a few sets of sockets.

What is the earliest we can start? And where are we doing this?

Nope, you read right. Our last run of the morning session I swapped cars with Steve. Needless to say the tires are holding him back, terribly bad. I could barely take a slalom on those things. He managed to pull a time 1.6 seconds faster in my car then he did in his car.

Yeah. . . my car slowed Brian down by about 2 seconds or so... I didn't look, so it may have only been like 1.5 seconds. Worth noting anyway that its the tires+brakes, not ALL me .

And that is with my locking up Brian's brakes and not knowing at all where the limits of the tires were because they were so far beyond what mine are able to do. Made me upset to have to go back to driving mine.

Ryan, what is the story with your car? Up for sale? Any bites?

Still not up for sale but will have it on sale next week. Just waiting for the center dash panel replacement. I've had almost no weekends free and it needs a full detailing before it hits the market. Fortunately I've got next weekend to do it.

Been driving it to work this week for the first time in over a month. Car hasn't fallen apart yet so we musta done right putting it all back together.
