Macedonia is good for me. Let's get something together before the bad weather hits. My 8 is my daily driver. I have a set of extra rims (with TPMS) with some nasty :-) Firestone STUDDED snow tires. YES STUDDED. They kick a$$ in the snow - I think I could pull someone out of a ditch with those bad boys on. Milage goes down (further) and the handling is sh$t on dry pavement but hey in snowbelt country my 8 is unstoppable. I've been reading the forums for 2 years or so but haven't posted anything really. I have gleaned LOTs of great discussions and insight though - thanks to all.
My real name is William (not Bill that's my dad - LOL). Anyway nice to 'meet' everyone officially and I'm on CB channel 19 when I'm in the car. The trucker channel is the best radar detector out there FYI - the truckers just call out the mile marker where the 'Rozzers' are. With a good CB and antenna you can have a 5 mile heads up to a speed trap. 10-4

welcome stig. I'm Steve. I have the most stubborn 8 in the club that gets all sorts of "ailments".
Good choice on the winter tires. I drove my 8 all last winter on Blizzaks, (not studded).
I did just buy some new winter force tires for my Bronco. I chose not to stud them, either... I mean, yeah, its Ohio, but do I need 4x4 with snow tires and studs? Lake effect is bad, but there is a line.
Doc, Sorry I wasn't able to go with you. Hows the trailer look? 2 seconds faster like everyone says?

Trailer seems fine. Just like he said. No big deal. 3 hrs there. We arrived within 10 minutes of each other (AMAZING), 3 hrs back. Pulls straight, just as described. As long as title wasn't stolen, it's a done deal. LOL

Sounds like we have a get together going :-) I've got a good SSV story to bring to the tabe on the 13th. BTW I just invested in an Actron ODBII code scanner (part of the SSV story) too so if you have a CEL on I can read it/clear it for ya!

I dunno. I "may" be in for 13th.
Just about every day I have free at this point is dedicated to getting the focuses running again so I can put the 8 away, as well as getting megans ready for winter.
Free time for Brian is pretty much used up untill the turn of the new year.

Storage + Moving
All,
I know I posted this awhile back, but I as John pointed out, I didn't post the update here in the 8 club.
Storage for this winter in warehoused, heated, with electric on concrete floors (with liability insurance waiver) will be $40/month, no minimum storage. Breaks down to around $1.33/day.
Let me know if anyone more is interested.
That said... I get the keys to my new place(s) this friday and will start the renovations. Which means maybe sometime between now and Dec 1st I could get some assistance moving. I don't have much cause I rent... in fact. 1 Bed, 2 night stands, 1 dresser, 1 couch, 1 coffee table, 1 love seat. . . however,we may have to help kristen also. Who, like most women, has tons of crap.
Count me out.... I haven't fixed a thing on my 8 since the last "close encounter of the coned kind"

Hey, I LIKE helping people move. However, you will have to sign a liability waiver for any glassware I break. And Jon, get a new slogan under your avatar......LOL
