HELP! okay sorry to just jump into this but my car will not start i did the fog light mod where u have the parking lights on with the fogs and when i went to start it nothing happened. no radio no lights came on to light up the dash or anything no seat warmers. but the interior dome lights still work also the headlights come on when i turn them on but nothing else comes on. i disconnected the positive terminal on the battery and hooked it back up so maybe i blew som sort of fuse that way? i cant find a bad fuse tho. the fog light rewire worked but now my car doesnt start or anything and I put every thing back the way it was stock wired so any suggestions? thanks for your time

Yup... sounds like you blew the interior main fuse... i did this when I was trying to wire in my Line out converter and cut into my trunk light. . . I can't remember if the blown fuse caused my car to not start though. . . crappy memory.

However... there maybe something you did during the mod that caused the fuse to break, so find the fuse. (I found it, so it can't be too hard) and then make sure you have a couple extra fuses around if you keep blowing them.

I may just live up to that haha i was thinking about getting a Mazdaspeed front bumper to replace my slightly damaged one from the accident. And that would be doing exterior body modifications before engine modifications (kinda ricerish)

Maybe i'll just rubber cement that front bumper on to go along with melting aero flares to the side of my car

I ended up just getting some Progress Springs for now. Realistically, I never drive the car to its full potential, so a full suspension makeover isnt really necessary.

If anyone is interested in being a "teacher" and has the time, I'm would like to learn. If not, its no biggie, I know its not the most exciting install, I can go to a local shop. I have a large garage that stays at a comfortable temp, and got a set of air tools that I haven't played with yet. I can pick up a spring comressor too. Obviously, anyone who also wants to learn / watch / hang out would be welcome.

Sure you don't want some extra OEM shocks? It would be easier to mount the springs on the shocks then mount the combo onto the car. . . just throwing that out there....

w00t w00t...third time around for doing suspension stuffs. :P Pick a date/time and send out a location. Im pretty sure if I remember right it only took us like 6 hours to do Doc's last time around...and this time I might even get more than just my hands dirty. :D

Docs should have went quicker, but there were a few setbacks in the process that delayed the finishing by about an hour or so.

ngill33: I would take steve up on his offer if I were you. Srsly. If will make it 100 times quicker to swap out pre-assembled cartridges than it would be to compress springs for each side.

If you want I can help out with the install. So far I've done everyone elses in this area, may as well add yours to the list too We can chat about it tonight.

Thanks for the offer Vyn. If this becomes a DIY, then I'll gladly take the shocks. I can either trade you for mine after I take them off, or just buy them outright as mine have 55k.

Yeah, let me know. I have a few extra sets of OEM coilovers around at this point, so I would probably pass on a trade.

Also, smoker (lulz!) if you'd like, I could use some practice doing a suspension considering I've only installed 1 singular coilover (barely) and removed 1 set while dismantling the entire rear suspension in the process.... anyway, give me enough notice and I'd like to do it by myself under close supervision considering its not my car.

FYI you guys shouldn't be putting the car up on jackstands to just sit with the springs/shocks uncompressed like that for so long. It can potentially ruin your shocks. No lie

Overfill the tires by like 5psi over the max pressure and call it a day. It's easier to drive out a flat spot if you get one, then replace shocks because you ruined them and they started leaking gas from sitting uncompressed for so long....
