Should you make a list of people coming? I'd offer to get some beer and maybe pizza, but since you are on that diet and all we should probably get spring water and steamed carrots.

If you think its the thermostat (which I believe you mentioned before) then I would remove it and inspect the gasket (and make sure you didn't forget to install it).
No, I don't think you should jump into using liquid gasket.
If everything is reinstalled properly, there should be no need for it.
Sucks you picked this Sunday for a tear-down since I won't get back until Friday night.
That'll give me little time to settle down.
I'll have to see how things go... I might show up.

I'm going to try to come down on Sunday unless I decide to drive out to BG to catch up with some friends. But i'm 90% sure i'll be there and wearing multiple layers.

You really should Jtaylor3... this will give you a chance to see components up close and ask questions.
I know John mentioned something about swapping midpipes and taking his bumper off.
Steve is taking the engine and tranny out of his Donor.
Not sure if Steve wants me to look at his coolant leak issue this Sunday or wait until Spring time.
We'll be pulling the donor's radio out... and who knows what else.
So there is a lot to see and experience if you come along.

First... verify where the coolant is leaking!

Jon: Its leaking from the connection to the actual engine block. Its not leaking from where the thermostat goes. I think we remembered the gasket, but remember how much trouble we were having with the ssv gasket also... I'm sure we collectively said "F-It" and just bolted that sucker down.
If possible, I'm going to try to look at the leak this weekend also... but it depends on time.
-----------------------------------------------
To Confirm, this is Sunday (1/24) morning I'll be down there. No one has to be here at 9am when I arrive, there is plenty of work to make this last most of the day if we so choose.
Primary Objectives are:
Remove Engine and Trans from Donor...
Set trans on skid + inspect + clean-up.
Remove remaining engine peripherals: Place on skid as block... clean up.
John, if you're coming: remove Radio.
Other objectives can be:
Remove Rear Dif. and axles.
Remove Front Brake Rotors (we'll need a torch for this)
![Naughty](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Remove Steering Rack.
And any misc. interior stuff. I'm not too worried about that cause its pretty easy to do with one person.

FUN.
I might be able to stop down and lend almost nothing but moral support. I have something to do but I might be able to move that back later into the afternoon. To see this it would be worth it.

I think I can manage that.
Looks like I'm in. Let me know if there's anything I can bring but I'll try to make it down there before 10.
