oh and you guys wouldnt happen to know if i can damage the pedal/any other parts further by driving my car until i can get it home this weekend? i dont wanna like break anything major

All this talk of clutches reminds me I need you guys to drive my car to see if the clutch feels weaker than yours. I always thought it was fine but since i've had my car i've driven two other Rx8's and both times the clutch felt a lot stiffer and just better.
So next time we have a get together i'd like you guys to take my car for a spin and see if you can feel what i'm talking about.
Maybe figure out if just wore it out super quick since it was the first car I learned to drive stick daily on. I really doubt this because I learned on my dads car not on the Rx8 and was actually quite smooth from day 1 when i learned.

You don't NEED a clutch to drive a MT car...it just helps. Since most of your drive will be on the highway most of your drive you don't need to worry about it. So...it really depends on how far school is from the highway. Use neutral a lot and release the clutch and hopefully you will make it...however...if you have other means to get back with the bracket and have it welded...I would do it.

If its not, it *should* be safe to drive home.
Steve might be able to help you out with welding your bracket like he did ours.
But you should get it done even if its not cracked because its only time before it does.
Another thing that helps with shifting problems is a good oil change.
When was the last time you changed out the tranny oil and what did type/brand did you use?
If its not, it *should* be safe to drive home.

On an unrelated topic, I ordered the gasket I need today (thanks Doc) So with any luck, that'll be here by the end of the week, but probably not. I'm going to try to button it up myself, but I think I will need an extra set of hands to pull the hard pipe out of the way.
Brian. . . I sent THMotorsports an email about my brake lines rubbing the wheels, so I'm trying to get a new set under warranty. i think I will be able to swap out the lines myself, but I will need someone (probably other than Kristen) to help me bleed the brakes (again. . . )
Further: I'm heading past Summit Racing this Sunday. . . anyone need anything? I'm getting oil, brake fluid, some coolant, water wetter, etc. All that crap that is expensive to ship.
Donor: Everyone that was here got a pretty good idea as per the condition and what parts are good/bad off the donor car. Does anyone need anything before I post the thread? Obviously we'll hammer out a local price before it goes into FS section.... (read: last chance)

Steve: I can help you belled the brakes when you get the new lines. I have a bottle and **** (thanks megan) to catch the fluid. Just remember when putting the lines on that there is only ONE way to put the large nut end to the hard line on the little bracket.
If you look at the brake lines when you get them you will notice that the hex nut is rounded on one corner. That goes in a specific way to fit properly to the bracket. If you don't fit it in the right way it won't sit properly in the little bracket that holds the brake line to the body and you won't be able to put the slid clip in to hold the line to the bracket. If you do manage to slide that clip in with the brake line nut in the wrong position it will put too much stress on it and eventually the clip will break causing hte line to flop around. That will be bad.
If you are unsure or not completely confident, then I can help you out. AKA, I will guide you through the process and help you bleed the brakes.
As for Summit Racing. I'm good. I live 25 minutes from there. hehe
As for the donor, I already got the part I needed off of you (passenger door trim piece for controls). Make sure to let me know how much I owe you for that and I will pay you for it. To be totally honest though, I only need the trim piece so if you want you can have the switches back and try and sell them.

If he isn't coming back soon I was tossing around the idea of going up to Bowling Green this Sunday --> Monday so I could drop it off if he'd like. I'm not 100% on going it depends if my friends are free to hangout up there or not.

hmmmmm... ill keep that in mind from now on when i get everything changed out.
