Tranny fluid doesn't take long at all.
What other days do you have off/free?

I am off Sun - Tues but I bowl on Monday's so I try not to do anything on those days. I have a bowling tourney coming up in a few weeks and we all are getting together to go scope the place out this weekend at 3PM out on the west side. If we can get it done in the morning this Sunday that's cool. Im normally up about 8 on my days off so we can start earlier if you want. *shrug*

hey guys, i know i havent been on in a while since my car took a dump on me so i thought id update you guys as to how the process is going. picked up my car from bedford today, turns out the engine was just flooded, meaning that it was the coils that were causing the problem (thanks to all for the advice and help on the fix). so i just had to pay a hundred bucks and its running extremely well now.
i put the cat back on since i have to get an e check tomorrow and it will be staying on till its gone.

that being said, the car is now officially for sale, to let everyone know, i hate to see it go i love it alot, but i need to sell it.

so steve, you have dibs on the momo's, i am however going to hang onto them until the car is actually close to selling and i will be selling you only the rims, ill swap the summer tires onto the stock rims and most likely sell the blizzaks with the car. we can discuss the price whenever i just wanna have the rims on my car a little bit since i like them

brian, you have dibs on the AFE SS, but im gonna keep it for a little bit, and we can discuss price whenever, just pm me.

my Agency power midpipe is for sale, local people will get first dibs before randoms do. thats about all im parting out though, my rents are sh*tting there pants about the exhaust so its staying on through the sale. there freakin out about changing the exhaust changes your engines compression ratio idk.

so since im getting rid of it, im gonna try and get something a little faster in a straight line and cheap enough to not have a car payment this time, bein in college and all. so im tryin to get an integra i found, being built by Big3Racing, with a turbo B18c engine and a list of other stuff. you guys can check it out and let me know any thoughts or suggestions about it.http://www.clevelandracing.com/forum...hlight=integra

sorry to ramble so much, im gonna miss this car alot though

Well, that would make parting out a **** ton easier! I still have the oem wires if you want to swap those.

i might be interested in the midpipe. do you have a price in mind?

As for getting something that is "a little faster in a straight line"... i've always maintained this in regards to that line of thinking: Being able to go fast in a straight line is like having a **** star size **** yet you've got AIDS. It's all about looks but pretty much worthless beyond that. But get a car you will enjoy. not just something that "goes fast straight". Any car can do that with a little work.

So why are you selling the car anyway? i think i missed that part.

So....as some of you know. Last year I attended the first annual Midwest Mazdafest in indy. It is coming around time again for the event and I was wondering if any of you would like to make the trek out to Indy with me. Last year there was a large number of locals that went from the c6c and we met up with others from Mazda247. In all last year I think there were 120 cars at the event. The event is put on by the IndyRX8 Club who are a great bunch of guys. The event this year is on May 1st as to not run into DGRR again. Any questions...let me know.

PMed about the midpipe, and im selling because parents think that ive wasted enough money on the car with problems and everything else since im in college, and even though i pay for the car and what not, they help alot with college and im not doin so well in that area right now. so it makes it hard to argue that i can work on the car and what not and still be focused in school. plus a car payment in killin me right now since i dont have a job in toledo.

haha no, i dont think any of it was there in the first place, only time the cars been on a flatbed was for coils/plugs/wires. which i told my parents about before i bought the car in the first place. they just say oh there were other things, but cant seem to name any. i know ill be spending the same on everything with the new car, only difference is there wont be a payment.

Will not be attending. As with last year, it falls on race weekend. Plus, I've had enough of "showing my car" for this year. Summertime is fun time, aka time to beat on the car, not sit around and stare at it.

Have a safe trip though.

Not any car can do this because you need to be able to put the power to the pavement. That means wide tires and good traction. And some cars can't manage that with a "little" work. Getting high HP on the cheap is more difficult than making a car handle better on the cheap, in my opinion anyway.

The main issue of disagreement is it being pointless, straight line power is fun. Tons of people drag race, which is way more about the machine than the driver... Can't argue with how sweet it is to experience Gs that throw you back in your seat.

I miss my little '99 Si... wasn't boosted, but it was fun in a cheap way. . . like a hooker.

+1. . . besides, you're mostly looking at cars drive around a parking lot on a race weekend anyway.

I guess my definition of a "little" work and your definition of a little work are quite different.

So even if you find a boosted fun straight line car, Steve is right - this isn't going to make your problems go away. I hope you're aware of the kind of maintenance and repair work that goes along with a used/modified/FI car.

LOL, it was Devilboi that said it, not me... I try not to give anyone buying advice because I have such a flawless record of worthy purchases myself.

Good work Megan, now someone is going to come in and post the stupid S2000 picture at the dragstrip with the front wheels off the ground that says something about "you said it couldn't do this"

But the fact of the matter still remains, that if the Honda had enough torque, the frame would be twisting just like the Mustang.

oh i know steve. was just hasseling you by taking your quote out of context and applying a retardedly extreme example to it.

I guess every time i hear someone say "I want a car that goes fast straight" i inevitably hear The Dom say "Ah liv mah life 10 seconz at uh time and for doze ten seconz, ah'm free." and it just makes me want to set every teenager with a civic on fire and roast marshmallows over the smoldering remains... then i see stories like this and just shake my head even more.

not every teenager is like that, you guys know i dont race my car, my best friend my whole life and his girlfriend were killed a year ago because some f*cking jackass thought it'd be funny to go 100mph in oncoming traffic because he had a brand new lancer ES and though it was soo fast while he was high off his ***. even if i got a turbo'd integra doesnt mean im a F&F fan boy kid ricing out a civic, all my friends race on drag strips and i wanna be able to go with em with a car that can post a faster time than a horse (according to steve).

So even if you find a boosted fun straight line car, Steve is right - this isn't going to make your problems go away. I hope you're aware of the kind of maintenance and repair work that goes along with a used/modified/FI car.
i never said my problems will go away, i said i dont think i ever had problems with the 8 besides routine maintanance, my parents think its the problem, and i wish i didnt have to sell it, but if im going to im not just gonna get a boring econobox DD.

i know FI platforms need to be well maintained and treated properly, especially ones that dont come turbo'd stock. im not going to cut any corners on this car. and when i told you guys my fraternity was into cars i wasnt kidding about the whole frat. all my friends have experience with just about any engine, they SR, B-series, 4G64, 6 and 7 bolt dsm's of every gen, KA's, LS and LQ, VQ engines, so ill have plenty of help. and they all are running FI in the 20 psi range, and the biggest problem ive seen for any of em is prolly a coolant line.

okay sorry to rant, i just dont want you guys thinking im throwing money at a car and just gonna run it till it dies, i told B3R to tune it only on wastegate pressure so i dont blow anything, and im not gonna be boosting too much until i build the bottom end.
