As far as lodgiong goes, Brain is making arrangements with the Fairfield Inns. We are waiting on pricing information and we can always add additional rooms.

For all of you not named Ryan. :P I wrecked my car today. Coming out of the office my right rear tire went and spun me off over a curb, through a sign and into a small tree. I'm ok...but the car needs some body work. Car wasn't leaking any fluids and sounded normal so I am thinking that it is just body. *WHEW* I'll have a couple pictures later...but this sure does put a damper on some things.

Jeez, DB, that really sucks. Really feel for you. And here I was feeling sorry for myself because I scraped a rim the other day.

Well, really glad you're ok.

Welp...it is more than cosmetic. I changed out my tires so that I could try and drive it to the body shop and my drivers tire rubs on my oil cooler. Drivers rear is crooked too. Ah well...so much for saving $75

Here is my video comparing the stock cat and MazSport's Dual Resonated Mid-Pipe!
http://www.vimeo.com/1326237

Once the heat shield is repaired, I'll add an idle/revving and a drive-by to the video.
Enjoy!

Nice job Jon.

Good work Jon...too bad your audio cut out there w/ the midpipe because of the volume. Either that or it was just the crappy speakers on this laptop.

I am worried that I created the file too big for some to stream. I'm creating a lower resolution version now just in case many have issues!

The video played ok...it was just like the audio was bouncing off the top of the EQ. Could have been a mic limitation or it could have been a speaker limitation on my end. Either way I think Im going to record the wav to a CD and play it while I have to drive this crappy Cobalt.

No audio problems during my playback and I tried it on my wife's PC too.

Ok...so I think I have decided to go back to the stock bumper based on looks alone. Since I can't afford the MS side skirts and rear I think the MS front would look dumb alone. There was a thread over in the Exterior category that I read last night that basically said the same thing. Does anyone have a good argument for the MS front looking good on my car alone?

When I dropped off my car today I got to talk to the owner of the body shop and he confirmed that I do get 4 new tires...and depending on rim damage I might get a new wheel too. He said the Oil cooler on the drivers side is "mangled" and otherwise the support structure looked pretty good. Hopefully I will have my car back in time for Mid Ohio...we shall see. *crosses fingers* Maybe...just maybe...they will be so slow over there today that they can order some parts that they know need to be replaced and get the ball rolling, I did tell him to hold off on the front bumper till Monday though. So let me here your opinions.

Sorry to hear about your car, DeViLbOi. Again, how did this happen? You spun out??

BTW, my plans have changed (again) and I'll be at the Lakeland AutoX tomorrow. Are you going Mark?

I was making a left hand turn out of the office onto SOM. I spun...hopped the curb and hit a sign and pushed on one of those little pine trees. Upon vehicle inspection the right rear tire has a 4 inch section on the outer wall that is outside the rim. I am assuming that I was either on a flat tire or it went during my turn. All of the damage in the picture is from the stupid street sign.

Any drawings to give a visual on how the fender vents will appear?
I might be interested in this.

I believe he is talking about just the vents, not the whole fender.
In that case, you are kinda limited to what you can do.
That is why I would like to see a drawing/idea, then I can Photoshop it to an RX8 and see how it looks!

Well the vents cant go perpendicular I don't think as they don't stick out that much on the 8 and there would be a big hole to fill behind them. So I assume that there is going to be some molding to the fender as well. Im just not really a fan of the vent style...to each is own though. Now something so I could get matching fender vents and front and rear grill...that I might be interested in.

If they're functional than I'd be interested. I'm not actually that down on the side vents - at least not nearly as much as most people.
