The worst part is when you have your girlfriend tell you about things you did at the party, don't remember what she is talking about, then get shown the video and photographic evidence of said actions.
Jesus I was drunk. Hahaha

Yes it is up and running, and I actually use it as my commuter down to my job. The road out here is a mile long gravel/hunks of rock/ mud and the Rx8 took a beating the few times i brought it down here. I love when i get back on weekends though and can take my car out and drive it.

Yea, not much going on...
Danny, I did need to ask you for the address of the place that did your custom alignment and how expensive they were.
And when do you want to bring over that wing so I can get that SOB sold?
Brian, Still have the rear dif and wheel assemblies.
John, wasn't able to get the rotor blasted for you. Sorry bro. I can spray paint it black if you want.

Well my custom alignment sucks right now lol! The bolts on the front are seized up and they can't get them loose. So they'll have to be cut out and replaced but normally it's 60 bucks. At chassis systems in Canton. So far I'm not really pleased with them.

So chassis systems is not recommended for what reason other than not wanting to mess with your rusted *** bolts?
Actually, I find that hard to believe... when we were doing your fluid swaps it wasn't bad at all under there. Did you check the bolts yourself?
Yea, you can bring it by saturday. I'll get it shrink wrapped and sold and shipped ASAP

Hey Steve and Brian a question. I just noticed a guy in a BMW Z4 registered same number as me. But I registered first and it's been my number all season. Is this gonna cause problems? I didn't want to ask on racerslane and start **** unless it's necessary lol.

He's in a different class. Its only numbers in the same class you have to be worried about.
You = 31 STX
Him = 31 AS
Now, if you didn't have to put your class on your car it would be a problem.

I think they just tend to sieze for some reason...it happened to me this spring. Steady diet of PB Blaster for four or five days did the deed!!!
Also, if you do have to drill them out, they are not real expensive... 'bout 10 bucks a side i believe. I had to replace one a few years ago after some dinglewit decided to use a 5 foot breaker bar on it and snapped the head of the bolt off.
Good luck

Looks like my car is acting up since I no longer have Steve's 8 begging for attention on a weekly basis
Some of you saw my Facebook post on my seized brake caliper and my inner pad worn down almost completely through.
Even though that really needed to be done, it didn't take care of my hesitation issues.
I was going to start with the basic troubleshooting list on this symptom, but this past week I was sitting in a drive-thru and my RPM started to drop and was close to stalling.
Since I run with the AccessPORT always on, I started going through the live data.
My MAF g/s was 5, MAF voltage was 1.1V, LTFT was 12% and STFT was bouncing around -%.
When I start driving my LTFT drops down to 5%.
So all this tells me I likely have a leak somewhere in the intake, after the MAF.
Looks like I'll be spending the day going through all the lines looking for cracked hoses and such.

Jon, I still have a complete upper and lower intake manifold if you discover a leak as a result of damage some how. Just FYI.
And you can come fix the s2000 if you believe that doing so will get your 8 back to better behaving condition.

Didn't take too long to discover that my VFAD cap was cracked pretty bad:
Once the crack reached near the tip, it then travels horizontally half way around.
Then there are other vertical cracks around it as well.
Installed a new vacuum cap so hopefully it takes care of that issue.
Since I was planning on spending more time outside in the nice weather, I jacked-up the car to remove the E-shaft sensor and clean it since its never been done.
I was surprised that it wasn't too dirty and only a small dirt spot was on the end.
I also measured the vacuum at idle and was pleased to see it was reading 18-19in.Hg.
After all that I reset the KAM and NVRAM and took it for a drive.
Car felt good and the STFT stayed near 0, of course the LTFT stayed at 0 for my short trip.
I'll have to give it a few drive cycles to let everything stabilize and see what happens, but the idle was stable at every stop.

Thanks for the offer Steve... I'm sure I'll end up buying those from you one day

Glad your car is running better
But just in case you're starting to play with the idea of trading yours in I want dibs on any and all mods lol! Cat exhaust geauges accesport ( if I'm allowed by Brian lol not sure if it's illegal in STX) intake. What else you got?
P.S. Steve Brian since we're all probably taking the turnpike to the buschur event Saturday wanna meet up at a travel plaza and drive there together? There's one right after 77
