Brian, just to correct you a little...
Danny is Dutch, meaning he's from the Netherlands... The Dutch in world war 1 tried to remain neutral but ended up being Germany's little bitch and trading with the allies and then filtering those supplies into Germany.
World War 2, the Dutch tried to pull the same thing and remain neutral. But Hitler invaded anyway and the country was under German occupation in roughly 15 days as the dutch Royal family fled to England.
So, you're wrong in the insult of a surrender monkey because in order to surrender, you atleast need to have the ***** to pick a side first.

Wow Steve I'm impressed! Except for the filtering of supplies to Germany it's bang on. I've never heard of that before and seriously doubt that. We are a tiny country and in those days we had maybe 10 million citizens and no army to speak of, so fighting a war we couldn't possibly win would be stupid.
In ww2 my grandparents hid Jews in the basement and attic, a crime if caught you'd get shot for. My grandmother told me stories of her watching families get murdered in the streets and sitting on the roof counting bombers flying to Germany from England.
It's easy to talk **** but when you lived in a country that was devastated by war you grow up different. When I grew up we played inside bunkers that were still there.
We are a peaceful nation and tried to stay that way but Holland was to strategically placed for hitler to ignore.

And my country got defeated by the biggest and most fearsome army ever seen around then. Unlike your army that got it's *** kicked by a bunch of farmers with pitch forks from a rice paddy
And where does the president get taken in case the USA gets attacked? The deepest Bunker in NORAD.
And don't forget before we go all "we saved Europe from the Germans" you didn't. The allies did where the USA was a part of. USA alone couldn't have done it.

I'm just bustin' on ya for not being from 'round these parts.
It should be noted that my father's side of the family immigrated to the US from Holland in the 1890s. My ancestors probably knew a German invasion was about due. It had been a few decades since they invaded France.
It has been debated that Germany strong-armed Holland into filtering in the supplies by threat of facing invasion during WW1. I think I picked that up in my Modern World history class many moons ago.
Losing to the best or losing to the worst is still losing. You guys were just used to it.
Better than London... that's where the Spice girls are from...
We saved Europe from the Soviets actually, get it right. Well... most of Europe.

Hahahaha the joke was the fact that I'm in Avon (westside of Cleveland) and its so loud you could hear me in Canton...anywho I saw another silver 8 yesterday around Crocker Park with stock rims painted black (which is what I have on right now too) and an AP full exhaust with a Jersey plate so hopefully he joins the Cleveland forum

Well my car is dead.
No idea whats wrong yet, but I've replaced everything short of the engine and transmission at this point and it's not the transmission.
On my way home on the highway I was cruising at about 65mph with traffic.. head some kind of puff and the engine lost 99% of its power... Couldn't accelerate at all. Limped it home trying to maintain my speed which was difficult up any kind of hill.
Got to my driveway and went to put it into first gear... Every warning light came on and the engine died. Rolled back downhill into my neighbors driveway and towed the car over into my garage.
Car turns over but wont start, not leaking any fluids, intake doesn't appear to be clogged (I took a quick look), all fluids are topped off.
Ideas? Am I joining the new engine club at 106k miles at my own expense?

But what you can do to verify my assumption is:
1) Remove all spark plug wires (just disconnect them from the spark plugs).
2) Remove a spark plug from one rotor.
3) Remove the FUEL fuse.
4) Have someone in the car "starting" the car while you place your hand over the spark plug hole and feel for consistent "puffs".
5) Install spark plug and do the same for the 2nd rotor.
6) If you don't feel any puffs or if its inconsistent (ex: it goes puff, puff, pause, puff, puff, pause) then you have a blown seal(s).
Good luck.

Might have lost your apex seals... should have a compression test performed.

Rebuild kits cost a little over $1000, then factor in labor.
You can send out the motor for a rebuild or have someone (like Charles R Hill) fly in and do the rebuild (at your expense obviously).
You can ship the block to RotaryResurrection and he'll rebuild it based on what is damaged and what can be reused... might save you some $$$
But you have to expect a few thousand because it'll cost more if the rotor housing is damaged or if anything else (other than seals) needs replaced.
Hard to give a solid answer on cost until its opened up.
NO!

This is the same kid who knew he had a clutch problem, we told him not to drive it until we inspected it, then decided to drive it anyway and exploded his clutch disc, leaving a furry critter waiting to jump out at me when I removed the starter!
You would have seen a lot more failures if that was the case.

It's royal purple. I don't care what anyone says, it's only a matter of time before that sub par "lubricant" will destroy whatever it touches. I have seen over a dozen transmissions, and now potentially 2 rotaries plus countless piston driven engines meet untimely deaths from this crap.
I wouldn't even use royal purple to start a bonfire.
This may get interesting. Hahaha

Weren't you bashing someone recently for spouting nonsense.
Guess since many have had shifting issues, we should stop using Redline too.
Since Royal Purple is a popular brand to use (engine oil) on this forum, of course the likelihood of engines that failed with RP is higher.
Still doesn't mean it was the cause.
No argument there.
We drive a rotary...
Only if you provided actual data to support your claims.
Can't recall hearing any negative with Pennzoil.
Castrol GTX is a common brand used.

It should be noted that I was using 10w40 royal purple when my engine popped.
But... i started using royal purple when i got the car at 17k miles... and it popped at 77k. So, it did fine for that duration.
I also premixed. alot.
But Tim... i'd just drag your car down to rotary resurrection and let him fix you up. Or depending on price, fly BHR out here.
But first, follow Jon's advice and confirmed its popped. I found metal fragments in my lower intake manifold. My car still could be still be started and run for a little with some help. Its not likely you lost seals in both rotors. So you should have 3 of 6 chambers working.
Trying to start the car can do further damage to the rotor, housing, and side seals. But since you drove it home... i wouldn't worry about that anymore.
