Autozone now carries royal purple! No need to hike up to summit for special oil weights.

You're welcome, RX8 club.
This is a good deal. Thanks Steve! I can't wait, autozone is like 1/4 mile from my house where as summit is 30 minutes by freeway.

Wooooooooo!

Point is you're comparing apples to oranges... different engines with different seal materials.
Wasn't it you that had his front oil seal go and starting leaking oil.
OMG... what oil were YOU using Brian... STAY AWAY... RUN... FLEE...

Danny,

Found some autocross wheels for you. Not black like you wanted, but they should be pretty rare for resale if you take care of them... I would haggle the price though, they're a bit steep for used wheels.

That's good news, Doc. So this means your car won't think its being stolen and immobilize randomly?

Awesome Steve thank you I've made an offer to him since any color new is 1000 bucks and he's asking 1100. I offered 500 and we'll go from there.

Lol he's not willing to negotiate. 1100 firm he says. I'm not paying more than a new set in the color I actually want lol! Chrome means polishing them yuk! I offered 700 final price. Otherwise he can choke on them.

Just to let you know, I just paid $750 plus shipping for a set. You're probably a little low, but he's way hi. They weren't in as good a shape either.

They're some special black chrome color he said. 1500 new.
They're probably heavier because of it so it doesn't bother me if he bites or not.

Well, I liked the SBC (special brilliant coating).. its like a black/hyper chrome and I don't think it made them any heavier, but it was worth a shot for something a little rare that accomplished your goal of 17x9 + 45 and light weight.

700 picked up is a decent price for high offset 17x9 wheels. You gotta figure the market for these is kind of limited.

I'm surprised rpf1s hold their value like they do considering how common they are. But light is light I guess.

Were yours new? If so, where'd you get that deal? Quite a bit cheaper than Tire Rack. I can't fit the RPF1's over my brakes, but I'm eventually looking to pick up some PF01's.

Hey guys I need your help/opinion on something. A girl I know bought a 40th anniversary automatic rx-8 last week but it started to vibrate when standing still and a whistling sound. I was thinking motor mount or torque converter? She's not from around here so I haven't seen the car. No cel and is stock.

No, they were used, but that's about average price. They're hard to find used. Get snapped up pretty quick.

the car was wishing someone would set it on fire to put it out of its misery for having been built with an automatic tranny. i knows it gets laughed at every time it pulls out on to the road. Tell her to do the right thing and set it on fire. no 8 should have to suffer like that.
