We once defended an elderly lady who ran her car up over a curb in the Coventry area of Cleveland Heights and took out a grandma and her grandson while they were standing on the sidewalk eating ice cream (thankfully the injuries were not serious). She wrecked her car in the process, and IMMEDIATELY went out and rented another car that evening.
The following morning she went out and did exactly the same thing, except that time the only casualties were parking meters and a parked car.
We settled. Right away.

Hey guys, don't forget the Rolex and Continental Grand Am races coming up on the 17th of September at Mid Ohio. It'd be nice if we could get some representation at the Mazda corral from the N.E. Ohio RX-8 folks. If anyone wants details about the corral itself or any of the various activities let me know.
Here are the RX-8 numbers so far for some of the other regions:
Indianapolis: 8
Columbus: 6
North Carolina: 5
South Carolina: 5
New England: 5
PA: 2
Cleveland-Akron: 0
Here's the link for Mazda Corral tickets: http://www.midohio.com/Store/Tickets...ar-Club-Ticket
"This ticket includes Weekend General Admission, Paddock Pass, Grandstand Seating open, Special Parking & Car Corral Area and Lap of Track (time and availability of lap is subject to change based on track schedule). This ticket is necessary if you decide to camp at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the weekend. A tent camping or motor home camping pass is required."
I'm going to be buying a ticket for my daughter, so that's one for us.

Hey guys I need your opinion. Either I'm losing my mind or my car went on an oil diet. It's been over a 1000 miles since her last oil change and she has barely used any. If the oil pump failed it would give a CEL right? Is it possible something is blocking a line or w/e? Something the stealership did or didn't do at oil change? What's your consumption rate? It just seems like I used to use more oil. Does it use less in warmer weather?

After digging through a pile of threads I have come to the conclusion my lines/injectors might be clogged. I'm going to start to premix. What stores sell idemitsu? Jon Steve Brian and anyone else want to help me check my lines/injectors? Pizza and beer included of course

i used to premix mine. I got a case of premix from the previous owner. I have 1 quart left if you want it.
Then I bought a case from mazdatrix and had it shipped.
... but if I'm understanding you correctly, you think that your oil metering pump injection lines may be clogged, so you're willing to assume that's the case and just premix as a precaution?
If it were me, I'd make sure my oil metering pump was working and the lines are not clogged.

True. Feel free to stop by my house and pick up that extra quart I have. It should be enough to last a few weeks until you're able to order your own or get to the bottom of your lack of consumption issue.
Also, when is the last time you have you ECU flashed by a dealer? Rumors are that each flash runs the OMP a little more efficiently.

Me personally... I might check it when I think about it and if my "low oil" light illuminates, I verify its low and then just dump a quart of oil in (don't even top it off).
I have never monitored the consumption rate of my oil nor do I premix.
There are people on this forum who constantly monitor their oil and premix, yet they've been through several engines while I'm still on my original.
Anyway... there is a way to purge the lines in case there are any air bubbles.
Brian and I did this on his car while troubleshooting his oil leak.
You could see the bubbles rushing-up towards the nozzles, so if you see that movement through all four lines, you know that the lines aren't clogged.
But you need the AccessPORT and a "MAX OIL" tune to do this.
Only other way to check for clogs is to remove the lines, which isn't hard... just takes time.

So, now that racing seasons are finishing up and some of us are getting ready to store our cars for the winter, I figured I'd test the waters to see if there is any rekindled interest in getting together for some beer and wings, or even doing bowling or something.
I'm just trying to see if there is still interest. No date in mind yet, probably a friday after work though.
