ooo...BBQ...that sounds like fun. Im in. Let me know if you need help getting some food together. My fam has gone to a butcher for years out on the west side and he has some pretty good prices on meat. Id be more than happy to swing out there and pick some stuff up if you want.

I'm just figuring burgers and dogs. I'm gonna cook up some venison steaks too!

If you can get a deal on the meat, go for it!

My mom buys the stuff by the case. It's like 1/3 the cost of like Giant Eagle and stuff. As we get closer we will have to figure out how much we need and if it is a good idea to do it.

For anyone that is interested in a MazdaSpeed replica kit there is one for sale in the FS section for $400.

https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-sale-wanted-44/fs%3B%3Bfull-body-kit-brand-new-154624/

And I remember last night that I said I would send a link to someone. But today I do not remember who it was or what the link was for. Anyone remember last night enough to remember that?

That was me... and it was something about bears pooping and things you shouldn't do to your car (that just sounds wrong).

OH... speaking of remembering last night.... I couldn't let this one go!
Quote of the night, "Has anyone swapped a Renesis engine for a 13B"

I think we laughed for so long, we forgot to mention that the Renesis IS a 13B (so I guess the answer would be "YES" people have swapped the engines)

ya that was a good one. Nice laugh from that. heh.

Oh and for all who care, got home tonight and in 10 min i had both sides off and reflecters removed. They popped out real easily and didn't get mangled at all when i pulled them from the housing. (pic attached). Felt kinda like a dumb *** for it being that easy and not getting it done... ah well.

Sept 12 is marked Doc! Sounds great!

Today's house hunting was excellent. found a house in Jackson township... about 5 miles or so from CAK airport. on a scale of 1 - 5, it ranked 4.75. Was damn-near perfect. The only real downside to it was it was on a main road however, it sat bak from the road by about 50 yards. Had about 15 - 20 trees in the front yard so the noise was nearly non-existant. The back yard you couldn't hear a thing. Quite happy with what we saw so we may put a bid on it. See what happens!

Was the "spirited cruise" fun? No one wrecked i hope.

Who said that???

oh wait. . .

I wish I had taken a picture of the looks I got from everyone. It took my a moment to realize exactly what I had asked...

However - if the 3rd gen rx7 had a 13B (and twin turbos) and our 8's have the same engine... why can't 8 runs ridiculous boost like the rx7s? I know there is a flaw in this reasoning somewhere.

I think my lack of rotary knowledge is more than compensated for by the vast number of LEDs on my car.

Mid-Pipe update!!! . . . still not here.

first off... that honda is rediculous and the owner needs force fed those grills.

As for brake pads, well there's a Summit Racing in Akron (great place for a meet btw!) You could check there. Here's a link to a quick search i did on their site for you. Someone mentioned ceramic pads last night as well. Here's what Summit Racing has for Mazda. There might be other options available but this was just a quick search.

That looks like a show car for sound competitions. Not a DD. But even so that's stupid and not something you'd want to do to your car but it's at least relatively tasteful. Matching colors and **** like that.

Picked a great day to spend 4 hours detailing my car... Guess it's a good thing water slides off Zaino like a greased slip n slide.

Cruise for cops ad
I know the owners of this coffee shop! He's a retired Brigadier Army General and his wife does stand-up comedy (not sure what else aside from running the shop). She's really funny though!

Great people! I'm definitely up for it!

Oh noes...they have created a monster. :P btw Doc...the c6c people are still looking for some people to go down to Mohican for the Pre-run work. You might wanna sign up over there to get your fix. They are going down like the week before or something.

You guys are really good at picking out weekends for these cruises that I'll be out of town. . .

Also... I couldn't find a good DIY on hooking up an LOC in the trunk... anyone know how to do this? I kinda sort don't want to fry any components when I hook that up.

Further... has anyone ever seen a stock rx8 shift **** with red leather instead of black? I'm looking into that before I do a voodoo ****. I just don't know if I want that big silver **** as the center piece of my car. Don't want to clash with the red leather or bluish, slowing dying LEDs.

DB: Sell you the 3M clear bra for a beer and 5 bucks.
(Watch the installation videos on youtube, it really doesn't look very hard to get it on there right. I bet we could do it at Docs BBQ if we were motivated)
