I think whoever was taking pics on Sunday managed to catch my first cone murder. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

It may have only been an assault since I didn't hear it get knocked off but one pic later you can see someone running at where I'd been:

Shame they didn't catch my next run where I brutally murdered one of the cones in that slalom.
That one went flying.

here's something i was wondering about all weekend, what are these two blanks used for? Did they ever have a purpose or used in a foreign market model? I know sometimes cars overseas have different options than what we see in the States.
Ya, i did a search but all i found were things others had come up with for alternative uses for the blanks.

Yep and i have an adapter and case to go with it. it's all yours. Pic below if you wanted to see it.
As for S Arlington Park, they've always been real good to me. Bought my honda from them in 1998 (was the honda group then, mazda wasnt aroundyet) and they were great. Bought my Tibby from them as well and they were great. havent had my 8 in there yet but i have no doubts about the service i will receive.
My parents have purchased both of their cars from the Park Honda group as well (which was why i went there) and they've always been treated very well.

I believe one is for the rear-foglight option on Euro/Asian models. Not sure if the 4th was ever used.

Thanks again for the pointers Doc. I went from 55 (and an off course) to a 49.1 on the final run which would have been competitive in BS against other street tire guys (tho my car should have an edge in every other category).
Went from a ~58 or so to only a 56 the first course so either you were responsible for the big improvement that second course or the hangover was responsible for the suck on the first one. Your call.

originally, when i had started it, spun the wheel and the DSC turned off, i took it out for a drive to tet how it felt and make sure it was driveable. I didn't shut it down and turn it back on when i got home. However, as you said would happen, this morning the TCS light was off when i started the car.
Did you use PB Blaster? I believe I read to try to use PB and let it sit overnight for this one.
I'm thinking I'll just find some new nuts and bolts and torch the thing right off.
Doc, Thats it for the Auto X this season, correct? I still want to try to get into that in the spring when it starts back up and I have my car in a place where I am happy with it. -Stereo, exhaust, short shifter maybe-
I don't think I'll be able to make the BBQ though, which I am not happy about... I say everyone should change their schedule around me.

You can get it pretty much everywhere (Autozone, Walmart, etc.). Make sure you get the 'penetrating catalyst' version but it's incredibly effective. It was all that was needed when my exhaust was pulled off with 32.5k miles on it.
There's an even in 2 weekends during the Steelers game and apparantly one more event at Northfield on the 21st. I may make it to that one if it's just a morning event. I'd love to have one event with my car prepped the way I wanted it to run.

Hey John. He didn't have the pads in stock but he'll drop ship them from the factory (shippings only $5). You can have the front pads I already have and I've got my old set of stock pads with 20k miles on them if they don't get in in time and you want to replace your rears for the run. Can swap them to the ceramics after.
I need the practice anyway since I'll be swapping my pads at least 4 times in October.

Does anyone else normally go and watch? I know John goes and shoots some nice photos.

We can do it at the barbeque. John's car can be the first of the night up on stands. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've never done it before by myself and have only helped change pads on my truck a year or two ago. It's allegedly very easy as long as you have the proper tools. 10 minutes or so a wheel. I'll have everything we need so at that point it's just a matter of fudging our way through it. It's not like we need to stop or anything...

If you can find a helmet you can ride along and learn what not to do on an AutoX course.

Nobody checks passengers anyway. Only drivers. If you're gonna do this, you'll need the helmet anyway!
