Here's the doc... ummm... Doc. Just a couple tweeks to hopefully make it a little less 'clubby' and a little more interesting to owners that might not be big car people or people into meets, autox, modding, etc. And here's that link to the discontinued tires:

if i can add my input on the flier (which btw i think is great idea... coulda used it over the weekend as i saw two 8s parked where i went), here are the changes i made:

Hello fellow RX-8 driver. Your car was seen today by a member of the RX8Club and was not recognized, so we wanted to invite you to check out our local group of RX-8 enthusiasts. We have a wide range of ages, hobbies, interests and life experiences. In the end, we all have at least one thing in common, we all love our car! So if you’ve always wondered what makes your engine unique, what else you can do to keep your car looking good and running great, what it would be like to race your car, or just want to meet other RX-8 owners, stop on by and introduce yourself. We have all asked the same questions and would love to help fellow RX-8 owners.

You can find us at https://www.rx8club.com in the Mid-West Regional Forum in a thread called “Akron/Cleveland 8 Owners.” We hope to see you there soon!

Spotted by:

Took out the word local in the beginning, as it would be used twice in the same sentence. Took out the word 'but' at the beginning of the sentence, "in the end" as that is a conjunction. You shouldn't start sentences with a conjunction. Reworded the sentence slightly just to make it sound a little more inviting but still not make it "clubby". Took out the word, "out" from the end of the last sentence. shouldn't end sentences with prepositions if at all possible.

I thought we agreed they would be written in crayon?

I do like it though; reads well. Its hard to get across that its more of a social club base on a car than a car club. I mean, at our meets... we never really drive anywhere... but, what do I know. . . . I know how to not get banned.

Looks nice....but I'm just going to put these on Cavaliers with body kits anyway.

We do a bunch of things with our cars just we're usually lumped in with NORA (autocrossing) or Cleveland6Club (shows, cruises) since both have more members/resources. If we get a few more people we might be able to support things here or there.

As long as they're body kits that make them look like RX-8s.

Yea...I don't know what else you want to do Billy Joe Bob George Fankie Steve. I see members of this club just about every week. Whether it be Doc at Northfield or Ryan and Brian at some c6c thing. What I really like about these groups is that we don't focus on the cars. We go out and have fun with fun people that just so happen to have the same car. I think the BBQ was a good change of pace, and while it sucked for a couple of us, it was the first event that I would consider to be a "normal" car club event.

lol, whatta d!ck.

I agree though with the general concensus about "the club". i like that it's just a casual hang out and bs, not specifically focused on "talking shop".

Yea John, Its more difficult to come from Canton up there... and I made the decision I do want to Auto X the 8. (Thats why I was asking about other stock cars last weekend)

But you know, its just such a haul for me to go to any other clubs meets and stuff.

Perhaps with these fliers I can start the Canton/Wooster regional Forum.... Run the club my way, which is basically the same as it is now... then rumble with the tuning unlimited guys cause we'll be on their "turf".

But, I think the fliers look good.

Just throwing a complete shot in the dark idea for next meeting: Dave and Busters? I just want to see you all struggle like hell through the Ferrari simulator like I did. (TCS off) Oh man; its like I didn't know how to drive . . . no comments.

Could make it a Canton/Akron club. (great thing about being in Akron, we got it all!) of course, i may become an Cantonite soon enough since the wife wants to move to the massillon area to be closer to her family... I'd still do the meets though with the Cleveland guys, don't mind the drive at all. But theni used to drive all over Northern ohio for a job i had... canton to sandusky to painsville to ravenna and everything inbetween was my territory. God (please dont ban me for religious reference) i hated that job.

How far was your drive to Macedonia? Do we need to shoot for something like Fairlawn more often? And why would you want to drive all the way out to Westlake? That is further West that everybody here and the only person that would benefit is me because I would just crash with my parents who live around the corner.

Fairlawn's no problem. We are the Cleveland Akron group.

I think we've done a pretty good job of traveling around.

If you guys want to have a meet in Fairlawn or Akron set it up.

The drive doesn't bother me at all. I was just being a pain.

Any-who, fairlawn has some good stuff too, and it is really easy to get to.

i may become an Cantonite soon enough
I'm pretty sure that they're called Cantonese... from Massillon, Massillonian. (Not really)

But yea, I have no problems with out meets.

On a side note, I went to boneyard on Mayfield rd in Beachwood area... very nice, good arcade, huge TVs... too far north for a meet though...

How far was your drive to Macedonia?
from canton, about 50 min

we used to hold our tiburon meets in Beechwood. Cheesecake factory, Bahama Breeze were two of the best places to go, bahama breeze especially! Tried PF Chang's once but that's too formal for a bunch of car-nuts to hang out.

Fairlawn / Montrose area there's a Winking Lizard but like Macedonia, parking sucks there. TGIFridays in Montrose is good - decent lot as well. Brubakers Pub - shitty parking. there's a place called Gasoline Alley that is really cool. I think you guys would really dig it but the parking can be a little shakey sometimes... depending on if it's rained lately or not. it's not immediately in the fairlawn / montrose area but it's very close. There's a great sushi place as well in fairlawn but not sure how adventurous you guys are... heh. Good parking there though!
