It might but it would depend on the year. Trailblazers/Bravadas give about 6000lbs towing after 2003. Really didn't look much earlier then that.

Anyway unless it's a miracle car I think that won't quite meet my comfort level needs for a 2000 mile drive. While I'm sure I could save some money and fix up the car myself I'm kinda sick of driving a car with +100k miles on it.

It was a really nice car...just wasn't willing to do the CV Joint work. Call up there and talk to John Martin and see if it is still there. It was all leather and well maintained...power everything.

Ryan - I'm putting off my brakes until further notice. Yea, the rotors are warped right now... but I need to get the snows on and the oil changed before snow... which has to happen this week.

hey fellas, I'm getting hammered this saturday at the ufc fight... I finally took the shinka back to cascade after almost 4 weeks. turns out they ordered the temp control but nobody bothered to mark down its arrival. so after a few calls I talked to parts instead of service and got my car an appt. so my dash come out for the 3rd time and after they kept the car all day and then called me at 5 to say an a/c amplifier was ordered and another appt. would need to be made. unfortunately there wasn't time for the car to be sent out for detail to remove the greasy handprints across my headliner for the last month so they had someone in back try and clean it up. well short story is they missed half the spots and never bothered to sweep out the mess made from degreasing. I'm so fukin furious I'm lost at this point. I'm open to ideas from you guys, I'm gonna call today and find out when they plan on taking the dash apart AGAIN and how loose its gonna be after getting ripped open so many times. all this **** for a damn **** and some simple track bars on the sunroof.

Sorry to hear about your problems ShinkaRex.
I too am having vehicle trouble... but not as troublesome as yours.
I'll be working on my truck this weekend (which also happens to be my b-day).
I got a P0171 (system too lean) and found a vacuum leak where the EGR goes into the rocker arm cover.
Looks like the grommet is torn, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
While I have the EGR out, I'll check out the valve and make sure its not stuck open.
It also might have contributed to oil in my intake, which I had to remove to clean the throttle body flap, the IAT, and the MAF.
And I still haven't looked into the outside air temp sensor that it telling the truck its 109F outside!
With it being right above the radiator, I may just relocate it.

On a lighter note, I just got comprehensive coverage on my RX8 and I'm saving $130 a month on insurance!

Park Mazda in Akron or Wooster are the only 2 places i will ever take my car for service.

I sent an email to have mine dropped today. Not sure how much I'll save but it'll probably be close to yours. That'll almost be enough to cover the payments on the new Exploder.

It doesn't ever have to happen. It could be a snow free winter! Yay Global Warmening!

So since I wasn't doing your brakes I drank until I convinced myself the truck is a good buy and I'm doing the right thing. I love how easy decisions are when you're in the fog of Bud Light.

Tells us how you really feel... don't hold back!
Reading this is making me nervous about going back to Cascade who has been great for me in the past.
I was probably going to get a compression test done next spring, but I might have to consider Park Mazda.
It was just more convenient going to Cascade since they are a little closer and on the way to work.

Can't really hose up a compression test and they can do those while you're there. I'm planning on getting one in the spring as well. Curious how much they're going to cost. If it's over $100 a shot it might be worth it to just go in on a compression tester.

http://rotarydiagnostics.com/pricing%20combined.htm

Not sure if you need a 2-rotor tester or if you can test the compression on each rotor individually but lots of people have used those.

BTW - You heard year about when you're getting your coils? Still nothing in my PM box and I'm not one to bug Ray since I don't need them for 2 months.

You can test them individually... its just more convenient to do them together.
But the testers (obviously) cost more to do both rotors.

Better Business Bureau reports that Cascade has 4 complaints reported over the past 36 months.
2 for sales, 1 for service, and 1 for refund issues.

You can always light a fire under them and ask for the District Manager's number.
Dealers tend to give into your needs when you threaten to start calling above them.

First of all, approach them calmly. Take some photographs of any damage. Document exactly what has happened, what is wrong, and what you want done. Write it out in a timeline. Retains any receipts verifying. Basicly, you want the car fixed and a loaner car while it's being done, at no charge.

Next, have a face to face meeting with their service manager. If that doesn't work, ask for their GM. Stay calm. When people start getting "mouthy" they will get their resistance up. If you don't get satisfaction this way, go up the feed chain, like Jon says, to the District Manager.

Finally, if you don't get satisfaction, there is small claims court. It is unlikely you will need to go that far.

Get them to do 100% interior restoration. Nothing less. I had a '94 civic (never tuned or bothered tuning... was just a car) that Circuit City installed a sub in the trunk of. One of the techs punched hole through the trunk and into the gas tank. Made the car stink, lost fuel and was constantly throwing a CEL (similar to a bad gas cap will do). They replaced the tank of course but i had them go the extra mile of detailing and destinking the interior. Initially they fought it, stating that the smell wasn't their fault. (what?) Had a nice letter from a lawyer friend drawn up and CC conveniently realized that it was indeed an issue they should consider rectifying.

Look, the dealership fuggered up your car and has failed SEVERAL times to fix it. It's time to demand resolution. If they claim they tried, then simply tell them that their paltry attempts ended in failure. The only acceptable solution now is that the entire interior be redone.
