A petition wont help much. That wont get them to shell 150K on a bike where people are not even buying the car that has the motor in it.

btw: the very first American Choppers ep. was on last night; the Jet Bike 2002, built for a Laconia, NH contest [that never actually happened]. Wow, OCC sure has come a long way, as has the quality of the video/sound recording. I had seen it originally, but had forgotten.

Ya even if we said a dollar a person we'd need 150k people.

I woulda headed out that way, but I had surgery on Oct. 20th, and missed two weeks of work. I was broke as hell, and needed to make my car/insurance payment. If surgery was after the meet I definatly woulda headed out that way. But since It wasn't I got a $9 pay check to last me 2 weeks! Thats about 64 CENTS a day!

I dont think that was the first episode. I remember that they started as a documentary that was to be just one show. They had enough film to make 4 or 5 more. Thats how it started.

It's Just advertising for the manufacturer/company that gets a bike built.
I found this link, if I may paste...
http://www.allbusiness.com/marketing...4129395-1.html

Mazda Spent and estimated 20 mil in 2003 on the launch??? If they release a new RX they will spend tons.

It's the kind of thing large companies do to burn their brand in the publics brains.

You think zoom-zoom was free? I'll bet they sell a lot of Lugs t-shirts and footwear. And Trim-spa? Fugget about it!

Storm, am I on the right track?

By the way, what really happened to Vinnie?

The last ep. that Vinnie was in he mumbled something to Mikey like "I'm going to Scooter world." Besides, Vinnie never seemed to like "punk kid" Cody. But who knows. I do miss Vinnie on the show.

The Jet Bike was the first 'official' episode, but I too do seem to remember some earlier footage that they showed after the series got going.

I caught it too. Tiny shop with only Paul Jr. working and creating by the seat of his pants. Then the next night was the episode with the FLOW jet bike. I think that was the one I noticed Mikey walking into Storms office asking for some photos and there was Storm. You remember that episode Storm? Was a Christmas thing. I pointed you out to my wife and she said yea that is him.

I know there was a big controversy about Vinnie and Cody leaving. But that's business and we still love what you guys do at OCC.

Side note: I have an old school OCC hat. Maybe next time I'll wear it.

I can;t really go into details about vinnie and cody leaving, but yes they did open their own (very successful)shop about 5 miles down the road. Go stop by and say hi. Tell them Storm sent you lol. www.vforcecustoms.com
We all miss Vinnie and Cody at OCC, but they had to go and do their own thing. I still go over there every once and a while to say hi.
As for the "on-air" bikes. Yes they are VERY EXPENSIVE, but it's basically an hour long commercial. I'd love a rotory bike or even a mazda bike, but the interest by the company needs to be there. Maybe after mazda of america gets the pictures from the meet they will hop on board, at least for the next meet, and maybe get a bike done.we can only hope.
