I was speaking to some family friends who have a small catering business about doing an event for the club, with the understanding that most (all) of you are poor college students. The catering menu would consist of most of the following:
Burgers & Dogs
Chicken - fried, bbq, and baked
Ribs
Pork - roast, and/or pulled
Spaghetti
Fried Fish
Crab soup
Sides: collards, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, yams, french fries, mac'n'cheese, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes, fried mozzarella, other non meat stuff, rolls
Desserts: varies - tonight it was vanilla pudding, baked apple, pumpkin pie, bread pudding, various cakes, and a few other things I can't remember
Drinks - water, soda, juice, sweet tea
CRABS
This is ALL YOU CAN EAT. The prices are $13 for those who are not into crabs, and AYCE crabs for $18. AYCE prices posted will be for advance ticket purchasers, but there will be a minimal surcharge for those who pay at the door. He also mentioned the possibility for those who just want to pay for a plate of food or food to go, but I am not sure what the price will be for that.
This is a great deal for all you can eat, whether it be with or without crabs. For comparison's sake, Buddy's Seafood does AYCE crabs (only) for $25, and their seafood buffet (w/o crab) is $22 - plus tip.
The food is good ol' southern style cooking, and there's enough parking spaces to fit everyone. It's also in a relatively secluded spot, so you can rev your engines to your heart's content. This would be held in Pasadena, so it would be a leisurely 30 mile cruise up 95/295N to 100E.
I would also pick a Saturday when there was no home football game, so it looks like the first possible date could be November 3rd. This is not limited to the club, so if you would like to bring friends, please post here. They can comfortably fit 40-50 people, but that's with only 5-6 people per table (I personally think 6-7 could sit at each table). I want to be able to give a rough headcount to see if this is a viable weekend event for you guys to do. I'll also have more accurate prices by Monday evening.
Spread the word and post here with thoughts and comments. Thanks.

My club, College Park Tuning, is having a cruise/meet on November 3rd, and I'd like to invite anyone who wants to come. We have a mix of all types of cars - import, domestic, turbo, NA, etc.
The event is in Pasedena, MD. If you're interested, post here.
